Super pumped about the Southern Alberta Medical Program at the University of Lethbridge (affiliated with the UofC Medical School)... Training 20 new medical doctors in rural and regional centers! We need WAYYYYYYY more of this... We need to train more of our own HCWs in AB! 1/2

Just saying….Not only are the questions a problem that will keep people in the polling station but the reading level on the questions is well into advanced University levels of reading.

Pick up signs. But also check reading level of the Referendum Petition. It is well over Gr 12 reading level. This sends insensitive messaging to the people of Alberta.

Hey Edmonton and Spruce Grove! Lots of opportunities to pick up an @albertasvoice.ca lawn sign this weekend! #notothenine

Remembering the days when vaccines were just administered — while not vitamin K as that is for infants—school kids just held out their arms for the ‘age appropriate’ shot for their grade level.

Huge congratulations to Professor Jacob Tsimerman of the University of Toronto on receiving the Fields Medal — one of the highest honours in mathematics. Nearly a century after Canadian mathematician J.C. Fields established this award in Toronto, it comes home.

On Wednesday, I was honoured to announce over $3.3M for Indigenous-led public safety and crime prevention in Calgary, including AFCC’s Ahmahtoo’siim-ahkoohmsi (Smudge Vow) Project and USAY’s youth programming. These investments support healing, culture, Elders, community and safer pathways forward.

And now we need to know how many of those 568 persons are card carrying members of the UCP. But I don't suppose that we'll get that information without a public inquiry. #ableg #abpoli #cdnpoli

Happy Earth Day! Today is a chance to celebrate the natural spaces that connect and sustain us — and to reflect on the work being done across Canada to protect nature, strengthen climate resilience, and safeguard our freshwater for the future.

Do check out Brian Goldman’s book, The Casino Shift. Stories from an ER on the Edge. A very compelling examination of an evening shift but also some of the incredible technological and systems advances that are happening in Canada. Congratulations Dr Goldman.

The U.S. accounts for 71% of our exports and their trade actions have made 2025 a difficult year. But we're diversifying markets, we're investing billions in infrastructure, we have the most foreign investment in 18 years, and employment is growing. We'll win this trade war.

Wishing Danielle Martin well in her pursuit of Krystia Freeland’s old riding. May she be as insightful in politics as she was in health and medicine.

So interesting. My father (born 1914) talked about skiing at Norquay in the 30’s—yes climbing up the hill and skiing down.

CTV News Calgary@ctvnewscalgary.bsky.social

No one is exactually sure when the first Banff residents hiked up Mount Norquay and skied down, but staff at the resort found records indicating it might be 1926, so the mountain is celebrating its 100-year anniversary in the 2025/26 ski season.

Belated thanks to the voters in the Hill Times All Politics Poll for selecting me as favourite up-and-comer in the House of Commons! Very humbled (and let's face it, lucky), with so many great MPs on both sides of the chamber. www.hilltimes.com/story/2025/1...

Seems a bit ironic to state that floor crossers are not legitimate. How legitimate is it to lose a seat and then take one that was legitimately won in Alberta because that area voted 80% Conservative???
