The economic damage from Brexit was never the only or most important consequence of that flawed vote. The human cost in loss of freedoms, rights and imposition of barriers between us and our family and friends in Europe was and is devastating. I am European.

The UK shouldn’t tinker around the edges with joining the EU Single Market or Customs Union, do we want to be a rule-taker or do we want to be at the European top table making the rules. Let’s start on the road to rejoining. Brexit has utterly and completely failed.

Of course I want my European passport and FoM back but between Trump and Putin it is vital that our country is back in the heart of the EU. Only together can we best ensure our safety and future.
