Sorry to hear this. These themes can be done very well without being pro-AI, as in the British comedy series ‘Ann Droid’, the British drama series ‘Humans’ and the incredible British film ‘Brian and Charles’. Thought the trailer was giving similar vibes. Maybe being British is the key!

@royalsociety.org Will you eject him now?!?? What exactly does it take - because whatever it is, I refuse to believe he almost certainly hasn’t done it. If there is no threshold above which you would rescind his fellowship, then you’ve declared that a fellowship is essentially worthless.

Blimey! It was probably a bit of a bad sign when they switched policy from charging for pre-orders on dispatch to charging for pre-orders immediately. Thankfully, that’s when I stopped ordering from them - otherwise I’d likely be having to swallow a huge loss over this.

You can’t be a credible ‘Sci-Fi fan’ and have writtten the absolute abomination that was ‘Invasion:Earth’ I also remember a Radio Times interview with Mercurio at the time where he derided Quatermass and Doctor Who for their reliance on ideas and characters whereas ‘Invasion’ had a massive budget.

Why does the BBC feel it necessary to report the ramblings of a racist tax exile who lives in Monaco on the the ‘state’ of the UK. He doesn’t pay his fair share of tax here so no-one should give a rat’s arse about the shit that drops out of his rotting brain.

This German comedy sketch (with English subtitles) perfectly captures so much of what is going on right now in the UK, the US, and across Europe. "Playing the 'Nazi Card' in the Third Reich", by Browser Ballett.

For years, Stephen Lennon has asked supporters to trust him and fund him. A Channel 4 Dispatches investigation, made with HOPE not hate, has raised serious questions about his finances. I’ve added my name calling for a full investigation. Will you? secure.hopenothate.org.uk/page/199860/...

To support Robin, don’t forget to unsubscribe from ‘The Infinite Monkey Cage’ on your podcast app. That way you can register your protest, and the BBC will actually see as the subscriber numbers fall.

I just saw the press release of The Infinite Monkey Cage and kept thinking, “wasn’t there a presenter before all this who named it and greatly shaped the show?” , and then, after much head scratching, I remembered, “it was me!” Patreon.com/robinince

This is the letter kids got at the end of Dolly’s Imagination Library. I defy you to read this and not cry.

Just signed up to support Robin’s Patreon. If you can afford to, then it’s two fingers up to the transphobes who have treated him so badly, so you should. And that’s before you even get to how great he is and how much great stuff he’s going to do.

This explainer out of Australia is genuinely useful background and analysis of what happened with the Canada-US trade deal last night. Note that it is extremely and delightfully sweary. Also there’s an appended glossary of Australian slang. ifloz.substack.com/p/king-carne...

My OCD suggests that surely they should have picked out fifty? Nonetheless, I’m sure it’s a marvelous selection.

OK, as others have noted, I’m also now getting follows from very sketchy looking ‘daily’ film festivals. How on Earth can you have a daily film festival?!? They all look like scams, so am blocking every new one that arrives.

An incredibly rare portrait of Owain Glyndŵr has been discovered in an attic in Powys. Painted in 1399 by renowned Italian portrait artist Frédéric Quimby, this is the only known painting of Glyndŵr in existence and confirms historical records that he was blonde and his favourite colour was pink.
