Just listened to an awesome episode of The Vergecast with @davidpierce.xyz and @Evan Prodromou about ActivityPub, Fediverse, and more. 2025 is going to be the year of Open Social Web 🚀 (Starts at 34min): https://youtu.be/rVrJSxVb6oU?si=0I218dRvKBQt2asz

Elon Musk’s AI wasn’t allowed to say that Elon and Trump spread misinformation. When this came to light, they blamed it on a new employee (do they really think anyone will buy that? new employee has that much power?) But sure, great idea to trust and use the Twitter “truth-seeking” algorithm 🙃

2/2 Fast forward to today: FriendTech has 50 daily users. Proud to be building for truly open social networks with active, engaged communities. Onwards! 🚀

This is exactly why Openvibe is committed to open social projects with strong, long-term communities—not short lived hype cycles. Back in the day, we were asked about integrating FriendTech into Openvibe—mostly by potential investors who didn’t fully grasp our mission. 1/2

Having an honest conversation with a bot 🤣

President Zelenskyy has been one of the greatest leaders of our time, guiding Ukraine through the darkest period of its recent history, rising up to Russia’s unwarranted aggression, being an inspiration to the Ukrainian people and ensuring that Ukraine’s voice is heard on the world stage.

I am really starting to like RSS. It would be a shame if someone implemented it in @openvibe.social . 🙊

🚀 Openvibe 1.8 is here! Now you can share content directly from your browser/photos with the system share sheet. Plus, easily switch profiles with a long press on the overview icon! Update now and let us know what do you think ✨ #Openvibe: One app for Bluesky, Mastodon, Nostr & Threads 🐙

Wow. Truly the most neutral AI ever. Exactly what we need — one person’s perspective baked into the algorithm deciding what we see. If only there were places where people could connect without someone else’s filter shaping their reality… 🙃

I rarely do predictions but this is an easy enough one to make: Big Tech will bring back onsite interviews for the final round of interviews, flying in candidates. When you pay top of market, AND do hybrid work, in the age of invisible AI helpers, remote interviews are a risk

Abandoning Ukraine doesn't protect America—it weakens us, rewards Putin's aggression, and endangers our allies. Betrayal isn't leadership.
