The day my daughter was born, I read that ‘Animal Mask’ by @themountaingoats.bsky.social is a song about the labor and delivery room. I sang it to her every day she was in the NICU and now it’s my lullaby for her. This has become another reason why ‘Beat The Champ’ is my favorite album of all time!

Who is this directed at? I hate the current establishment of the Democratic Party, so I guess I don’t vote blue no matter who and just let Republicans win? Because you’re also telling the voters to not vote for your party as well and support the party we want to see.

I say this with no ill will or animosity: if you hate the Democratic Party, then please don’t run for our nomination. Don’t use our resources. Don’t rely on our volunteers. Don’t use our infrastructure. Don’t ask Democrats to invest their time, money, and energy in your campaign.

It’s kind of disgusting seeing people sell Come, Come To the Sunset Tree by @themountaingoats.bsky.social for upwards of $2,000. I really hope it gets a reissue so I can have it in my collection one day. I’m so close to completing my discography collection for the Mountain Goats.

Trying to find a history podcast and found @theresthistory.bsky.social. I started from the beginning, and I’m really enjoying it so far, but man is it hard to listen to their episode about Trump in 2020 with the nearly 6 years of hindsight. Otherwise, good so far, will start to jump around soon.

I will do everything in my power to make sure he is not reelected. He has made so many concessions to Trump's administration. He has nothing left to offer me. Someone please primary him. Illinois deserves better than this.

There is very little about this CR that I like—but there is even less I like about a government shutdown. With Trump & Musk taking a chainsaw to the government’s workforce & illegally freezing funding, the last thing we need to do is plunge our country into further chaos by shutting down the govt.
