Will it hat? Yes, it WILL hat!

Finished the brim. Buh, I dislike pressing whatever that really thick and heavy interfacing is. Maybe what I bought was old and the glue isn't very tacky?

Will It Hat? ๐Ÿง™โ€โ™€๏ธ

I had one of these 20 questions gizmos in the mid aughts and lost it a long time ago. Bought one second hand. What should I have it guess? It had to have existed before 2003. It can't be ~super~ specific. IE, it guessed "A Celebrity " when I was thinking of Britney Spears

Instead of getting an I VOTED sticker for early voters, maybe we need a big pin to wear in public every day until election day that says smthig like, DO U NEED HELP TO VOTE? ASK ME I think the early vote crowd is always up to answer questions

Regarding my last post about the Etsy slop ocean - behold my very-much-not-slop knitting patterns. $5 for the basic pattern!! Make someone a hat that looks like a chicken is nesting on their noggin! You need to know how to knit & purl in the round, and make a few crochet stitches. ๐Ÿ”

why are all these people so sad about their beautiful sweaters though

today's inbox: receiving inquiry emails as one-line, no punctuation, no capitalization phrases ala an LLM prompt for answers. I responded with a whole-ass email to the first one. Received a follow-up reply with ANOTHER prompt-style sentence. I'm a mechanical Turk, unbeknownst to me I guess???

It's hard to jump platforms, but honestly I'm so sick of Meta that the change was necessary. If you don't know me, that's ok, I'm not sure I do either ๐Ÿ˜† But seriously, my art style is changing constantly but you might know me as the Medieval Art lady.

One of the things they always stocked were huge fans with painted scenes meant to be hung on the wall. Whenever a restock arrived we'd have to open them all to air out for a couple days because they always smelled like vomit ๐Ÿคข

was in our Victorian village town. The back wall of the building was a cliff face (these buildings were 100yrs old). The back room of whatever used to be in that space had an indoor fish pond. The current shop owner drained it, curtained off that room and used it for storage. So

when it rained, water ran down the exposed cliff face into the fish pond...Which then bred mosquitos. You'd have to dash in there to not get eaten up in the summer. If it rained a LOT, we'd rush to bail it out into the toilet as a bucket brigade, because they kept back stock items in that same room

I guess it's a good sign that I haaaate making a Karen phone call. But today, my personal work snack stash was involved - that's apparently where I draw the line. Hair on fire angry

These were in their fancy packaging. It was clearly special. I hope they have a bad bathroom time for eating 60% of a box of sweets.

if this continues, I may resort to putting a tempting stack of sugar-free Russell Stovers around (out of the packaging). A hard lesson to learn. But sometimes, a mega dose of maltitol is needed

I believe my otherwise grandma snack tendencies kept the snack stealer from my other stash. Rye crackers. Apple flavored fiber gummies. Unsweet barley tea. Some of the stolen snacks were moon cakes (a gift!). And Japanese chocolates (also a gift!!)

There are two wolves, a trolley, and infinite monkeys. They want you to buy this shirt. Get it for the local philosopher, linguist, or meme-sharer. Baffle your family and friends. This shirt does not scrute. danielsolis.threadless.com/designs/ther... #WeeklyTshirt #philosophy #linguistics

One controls the lever of a trolley track... on Men's T-Shirt โ€“ Baffle your friends with every thought experiment, moral allegory, high-brow meme, and philosophy reference fire-hosed onto one inscrutable shirt. "There are two wolves. One always lies. One controls the lever of trolley track. They are in a state of superposition inside a box. Infinite monkeys at infinite typewriters are riding the trolley, going to a hotel with an infinite number of rooms. First, the trolley must travel halfway, but before that a quarter way, and so on. One wolf is โ€œKiki.โ€ The other is โ€œBouba.โ€ One salivates at the ringing of a bell. One wolf waits because it is promised two treats later. This bodes well for the more patient wolfโ€™s future. One wolf is otherwise benevolent, but will punish anyone who knew of the boxโ€™s potential existence and did not directly contribute to its creation. That said, every part of this box has been replaced, so it may not be the same box from the beginning of the experiment. The box falls in the forest, but no experimenter is around to record the results. Wolves can see only shadows projected on the inner walls of the box, believing them to be reality. One obeys the experimenterโ€™s orders to administer electric shocks to the monkey conducting the trolley. In truth, the conductor is actually an actor working on behalf of the experimenters. One wolf reports that a dress is black and blue. This is incorrect. The wolf is red/green colorblind. One of the infinite monkeys is able to imitate natural language writing well enough that one wolf cannot distinguish whether a transcriptโ€™s writer is a monkey or wolf. The transcript: โ€œIf one wolf testifies against the other, but the other does not, the one testifying will be set free from the box while the other remains.โ€ One wolf cuts off all of its fur for money to buy a pocket watch as a Christmas present for the other wolf. However, that wolf has no pockets, nor can it read a clock, because it is a wolf. This is irony. One wolf chases the sun. One wolf chases the moon."
