I've been using Vivaldi from day one (Opera before, obv.)

Vivaldi Browser@vivaldi.com

Hello there, may I interest you in switching to a European web browser that has: ❌ Zero AI slop. ❌ Zero tracking. ❌ Zero external investors. 🤩 Endless ways to customize your setup. 🤩 Tons of powerful features. Oh, and it's an employee-owned alternative to the Big Tech giants. Welcome over!

Nothing to see here...just the President of the United States inviting the country he illegally declared war on to "take out" 2 major American cities. If that's not treason, what is? 🤬 Law enforcement won't hold him accountable, but we WILL! The beginning of the end is on November 3rd. #VOTE-BLUE 🌊

Can the staff at Science Magazine feel shame? They at least behave as if they don't, according to this headline. 😠

Can the new cutting-edge AI models feel pain? They at least behave as if they do, according to a recent study. The work, which has not been peer reviewed, has divided #AI researchers. https://scim.ag/4hHU6BA

the journalists on here defending a rapist are the same ones that gleefully tortured a survivor for two years. i was blacklisted? but a rapist deserves compassion because his work is important???? how is any of this ok?

i need to get off social media for a while because seeing the apologism, and the same awful crowd it is coming out of, is too hard right now. i’m sharing this to the top of my timeline again, before leaving... i told the truth. www.nathalielawhead.com/candybox/abu...

I am still salty when he was Ambassador to Japan he would not attend the memorial 50 years for Hiroshima- he would not attend because Japan had recognized Palestine. So bad and embarrassing for our country

So, MAGES, the visual novel company, decided it would be a good idea to make a game almost entirely with AI, and then proceed to give everyone details on how much of the game they didn't make.

every day i desperately wish for either the complete removal of steam reviews or at the very least disconnection from the discovery algorithm. tying subjective personal review (with zero rules or regulation) to how many people see and buy your game is fucking insanity

Daniel J. Menezes@danjohnston.uk

The Steam review system has become entirely destructive and counter-productive for indie devs. I've seen so many great games lately tanked by one bad review from someone who just didn't "vibe" with the game and couldn't keep quiet. Only takes 1 bad one on launch day to ruin years of work!

normally with reviews id say “it doesn’t matter if a game is at 90% positive or 70% positive” if i was talking about a normal review aggregate but on steam, it very much matters visibility & how steam ranks a games positivity is extremely vital if you like a game, give it a good review today

Rob "Xemu" Fermier@xemu.bsky.social

Giving an indie game a "thumbs down" negative review is LITERALLY a punishment. In many cases due to how the Steam algorithm works, it is a capital one. If a game just wasn't for you, or you have some feedback, please just post on the forums! Save the "thumbs down" for AI slop and other offenses.

My biggest advice for youngsters: take pictures of the places that matter to you. Your home, your bedroom, your classrooms, the stores you frequent, etc. You'll probably have plenty of pictures of the people in your life, but the spaces change and disappear, and they're a wonder to revisit.

Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters just told investors that Night School's latest release, Unhinged, became one of its two most successful cloud game launches. Evidently, that wasn't enough to save the studio or its workforce.
