I've been playing Bioware's games since Baldur's Gate I, back in 1998. I've played, and been variously obsessed with, the full BG series, Mass Effect, KOTOR, my beloved Dragon Age. For fantasy? Magic. Broadly defined, whether it's spells, monsters, ghosts etc. Moreover, the protagonists' interactions with magic should be crucial to the progression and resolution of the story. Ideally, the types of magic we see should shine a light on the book's characters and themes.
