I really wish more of Silicon Valley would wake up to the fact that the backlash to this is going to be massive and the blast radius will impact many other companies as well.

i wonder what percentage of the electorate now understands that this man and maybe 75 other people like him are actively trying to destroy our lives. that he is the biggest national security threat we have faced, even moreso than bin laden or whoever. its got to be dawning on more and more people

FYI, the fugitives Paxton was partying with were indicted for selling hospitals hundreds of millions of dollars worth of fake Covid tests.

The Wall Street Journal reports on a New Year’s Eve 2024 celebration where Ken Paxton partied in Dubai with two fugitives from U.S. justice and a woman who wasn’t his wife. One of the fugitives had donated $190,000 to Paxton. How much more can there be? www.wsj.com/politics/pol...

It matters that she's a member of Congress. This is an extreme escalation. He is attacking a member of the one body with the constitutional power to hold him accountable and check his crimes. And he's doing so trying to gin up a fake basis to strip her of her eligibility to be in Congress.

The Trump administration ignored the court’s instructions again. Over 400 trees were chopped down at D.C.’s public East Potomac Golf Links over the holiday weekend without proper advance notice even after government lawyers promised the judge ample warning before any irreversible work.

First, Rudy Giuliani booked Four Seasons Total Landscaping. Then Senator Schmitt confused the Atlanta Hawks with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Now a GOP super PAC spent $25,000 campaigning in the wrong Portland. These people want to redraw America's borders but can't find the places on a map.

They’ll never EVER admit it, but a lot of MAGA chuds are about to find out that watching someone die a violent death in real time is pretty damaging to your brain/mental health. And I wish them a lifetime of sleepless nights and gruesome flashbacks.

Haha. This guy actually ran for governor of California. He's an Oath Keeper and the kind of guy that creeps around goth clubs inviting people to his key parties. It's like if Meatloaf and Greg Bovino had a baby.

BREAKING NYT: The California Supreme Court just ordered a county sheriff to return about 650,000 ballots he seized from election officials as part of an investigation into voter fraud that state officials said had no basis in fact.

I just spoke with a retired NBA player who told me that when he got drafted, he went out for ice cream to celebrate and was denied service. All these stories are still within living memory and they're still being contested at the highest levels of our government.

It's been three days since he said this, but I think it deserves an encore: “If we buy $2 billion worth of bananas from Brazil, we’re actually losing $2 billion. So if we stop eating bananas, we actually save $2 billion.” And this guy is in charge of the world's largest economy.

I was lucky enough to get to work with Rose, a brilliant journalist whose kindness and generosity were unmatched. Her loss comes five years after the passing of her colleague Petra Mayer. We lost both far too soon. This is a deeply sad day for cultural journalism. www.npr.org/2026/09/18/n...

I have the same feeling. I had one of my favorite work experiences there singing in the DC RING Cycle and I love the place. I’m surprised he hasn’t already demolished it. Several colleagues are taking part in the human chain. Get there if you can, everybody. At least for the history books.

I am tired of people saying we can’t win in front of the Supreme Court. I’m annoyed by those who say my firm is too partisan to be effective. Today we won a huge redistricting fight before SCOTUS and a ballot access case before the Nebraska Supreme Court. The lesson: When we fight we win.

I feel like middle-aged, average men are not taking this seriously enough? It’s like it immediately went on the emotional labor pile for (mostly) women despite all the apocalypse p-rn the men watch?

Today I reunited with Liam Conejo Ramos and his father Adrian at his school, Valley View Elementary in Minnesota. The last time I was with them, I was escorting them back home from the Dilley Trailer Prison. Liam's mom was 3 months pregnant at the time. Today, I met Liam's new brother.

The fact we have an executive class that doesn't know what to do with the Looney Tunes or The Muppets really sums up what a joyless, barren world they inhabit.

There are currently no active conversations for a full ‘MUPPET SHOW’ series revival. Disney, The Muppets Studio and Point Grey Pictures have had difficulties with deciding on a premise for the series that they can all agree on. (Source: Deadline)

From day 1 we said the Dobbs decision was never about states' rights, it was about limiting women's access to care.   To put an end to these relentless Republican attacks, we must codify reproductive freedoms in law & make clear that a woman's right to choose is her decision.

It's crazy to me that this is not leading the New York Times, NBC News, CNN, etc. If you're that numb, maybe think about a field other than journalism.
