Direct, full-time jobs opening Rosebank oilfield would create: 450 D, f-t jobs opening Jackdaw gasfield would create: 27 D, f-t jobs in UK's net-zero economy: 300,000 + 400,000 more on the way D, f-t jobs in the rest of the green economy: 600,000 Is that really the hill Burnham wants to die on?

Oh dear. It seems that my local Reform councillor doesn’t grasp that they are my representative on the Council for all issues I encounter in the city, and not just ones falling within their ward. Not that I expected any better.

The issue raised - if you’re interested - is a bunch of flags on lampposts… or at least the ragged-edged remnants of them. Their response? “It’ll wait until the lampposts have maintenance done”. Clearly Reform have absolutely no respect for the flag.

Despite it being obvious that the time of two-party politics is over, the govt laid out no plans to introduce a fairer voting system in the King's Speech. That's why Green MPs tabled an amendment on the need to bring in proportional representation and make every voice heard.

Only in America can one party control the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives, win the popular vote, and hold the majority of governorships... and still blame the other party for everything wrong with this country

Doesn't matter if the performance itself is staged. The fact is, talented musicians coming together and giving a performance in a public space means the masses get to witness this for free and that's beautiful. TT: Raphaël Froissart IG: Michel Tirabosco ~ Pan flute

When there’s a fuel shortage they tell you to turn down your radiators and boilers. Those with cash don’t. People in poverty have no choice and leave them low forever. Prolonged underheating causes mold and awful health complications. Being able to turn it back up is not a mistake IT’S THE POINT.

Hoo boy, the scrooges at the Daily Telegraph are now railing against <checks notes> people in poverty being able to heat their homes properly after they get insulation? It says the govt is "sitting on evidence" in a report commissioned and published by…the govt 🤡🤡🤡

The institutions that are supposed to protect our democracy need to wake up to the reality of 2026. Quite obviously, there is nothing to "consider" here. Quite obviously, this needs investigation. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The Green Party want to end Rip Off Britain. This Thursday, vote for the party that wants to put wealth and power back into all our communities. Meltdown headlines from billionaire press this morning alone show what we're up against. Vote Green. Join.greenparty.org.uk

Honestly, even if the US replaced Trump tomorrow, I don’t think their international reputation will recover in my lifetime. Possibly not even my children’s lifetimes.

Biomass Energy Carbon Capture and Storage is a match made in heaven for greenwashing energy companies. We know CCS is lucrative fantasy, but this paper shows sticking a hat on a biomass plant won’t make BECCS carbon negative for hundreds of years even if you squint. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Donald Trump and VD Vance are fighting the Pope. Trump posts himself as Jesus. Pete Hegseth is quoting Pulp Fiction, thinking it included the real text of a Bible verse. And conservative MAGA "Christians" keep making excuses for it. Beyond satire at this point.

Remember when the Republicans were screaming for the President to be removed because he stumbled over a word in the middle of a long speech? Every single one of them who is refusing to remove Trump is culpable at this point.

Dear USA, When this is over – and it will be over – you need to take a good, hard look at how it was allowed to happen and overhaul every single part of government which failed to act.

This is an actual post. This is not funny. This is beyond desperate. This is a deeply unwell man who doesn’t belong anywhere near the levers of power. Every member of his cabinet and Congress is complicit in not demanding his removal now.

So what did you do on Good Friday? Personally, I had to shimmy up some ladders to get to a breaker so I could try reboot some essential networking equipment in a locked room, just in case I had to rush order some replacement gear before Easter Day.
