Perhaps the most damning revelation in the new Musk documentary are the reports about he would brag about having worked on the Cadillacs and Dinosaurs video-game but would fail to correct anyone that thought he was talking about the awesome Capcom arcade game and not the shitty Sega CD one

Far and away the best film about 9/11 is Starship Troopers (even though it somehow came out four years before it happened)

There has never been a great film about September 11, 2001. There should be. For 25 years, artists and audiences have been processing the attacks onscreen. But something is still missing.

Not usually one to say “buy my book instead” but… buy my book instead. More fun, less dead eyes and 100% less evil www.amazon.com/-/zh_TW/Skin...

“Bad news for publisher HarperCollins: The book-buying subset of MrBeast fans appears to be vanishingly small. Two people close to the project say The Most Dangerous Games is on track to be a historic bomb…”

Reminds me of when Fox News argued in court than none of their viewers think of them as actual news. What are we doing here?

Sony says "reasonable consumers" know they don’t own the digital PlayStation games they buy. It argues that it's "not plausible" to suggest that when they buy a digital game they actually believe they're "obtaining ownership" of it. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/sony-sa...

Tim Curry changed my life in so many ways. As a kid, as a teen and beyond. He was everything to me & CLUE is probably the biggest reason why B & I first connected when we first met in 2009. I’m so absolutely heartbroken today. Cards for sorrow, cards for pain…

We all owe our VCRs an apology for abandoning them for shiny new toys

They disinvented the VCR. You might think that the reason we don't have VCRs anymore is because VCRs were supplanted by DVDs, PVRs and streaming, but that's not the case. They had it in for the VCR from the very start, and they never stopped trying to kill it. Eventually, they succeeded. 1/

Saw a dude wearing an AI generated shirt that said “The United States of America: Undefeated since 1776” and it took every ounce of will power not to engage with him to tell him about the war of 1812

“We will let you make three batshit crazy movies starring Mia Goth where you can do whatever you want.” “Sweet! What’s the catch?” “…you gotta do one for us.” “No problem. How bad could it be?” “…”

First poster for ‘EBENEZER’, a new film based on ‘A Christmas Carol’ starring Johnny Depp. “Before he was Scrooge, he was Ebenezer”

I have eaten a lot of 1 star reviews solely for having an on-screen kitty meet their doom. No matter how well it serves the plot/character people REALLY don’t like it

Between RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, the B-17 sequence from HEAVY METAL, and the movie DEAD & BURIED, Dan O'Bannon is responsible for the other half of movie zombie-dom. We talk about Romero a lot, but when you think of indestructible zombies hungry specifically for brains, you're thinking O'Bannon.

They’ve been so afraid to call this recession we’ve been in a recession that now that we’re ACTUALLY in a recession they’re trying to sugarcoat it by calling it a “technical recession” which means, you know, a recession

I took my two year old to see Raffi and this 70 something year old man alone on stage had an entire theatre full of kids completely mesmerized for the whole show. No big screens, no fancy lights, no gimicks - just him. Greatest magic trick I’ve ever seen in my life.

My hottest parenting take is that Raffi is not only the great to ever do it, but he’ll probably never be bested. Michael Phelps-ass children’s songwriter.

This has been said to death but I'll just say it again: if you're in the creative arts space stop calling your art "content". Call it "work"! Calling your art "work" shows it's the result of time and skill. "Content" makes something sound like it has no purpose other than to take up space.
