Strongly suspect that Truss will become the first PM in history to fully melt her brain on Twitter. Odds are also good she’ll turn up shitfaced to the Cenotaph before trying to start fights with all the other former PMs.

I know it's not an original thought but fucking hell, what an orator.

Obama: "That well-known evil empire Canada. That historical adversary of ours. Canada! *laughs* It's your neighbor. It's a few minutes' drive over the bridge! These are the people who gave us Martin Short and maple syrup. They are the nicest people! And someone we've gotten them so mad."

I saw Alien Ant Farm many, many years ago at Brixton Academy. If you'd told me c25 years later they'd be playing Ally Pally I'd have assumed you were insane

For the record, even with the handicap of the gurning twat on bass, they were good fun. (Not as good as some of the other bands I saw at Brixton around then though. System of a Down was *insane*)

I'd seen this advert, and the penny hasn't dropped about the racial framing. It's absolutely wild that no one in the production of this picked it up. (Maybe they were all middle class white people like me?)

KetAnthropic JoshAI@ketanjoshi.co

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

I'm not as across the media as some, but why the fuck would you want to pay Amol Rajan £30 a year, much less a £999?

Otto English@ottoenglish.bsky.social

I keep looking at the difference between £299 and £999 and all I can see is that £700

This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

Man, imagine advertising to the world that you're remotely impressed by Musk's bullshit STILL

Alex Hern@hern.bsky.social

do think there's a danger of looking at extremely cool shit like a car driving upside down then doing a kickflip before landing, and convincing yourself it's actually lame because the guy funding it is a white supremacist

I've literally never worked anywhere that doesn't supply milk.

fesshole 🧻@fesshole.bsky.social

I have worked at my company for more than 3 years. Despite drinking around 4 cups of coffee during the workday I have never bought a single drop of milk. I simply alternate my stealing from different labelled milks in the breakout room, especially directors.

No. British people in their 70s and 80s did not fight in the Second World War. If you’re 89 you were born in 1937. You might just barely remember the blitz.

Saw this post from Roy Moore's chat with Gino, then listened to Troy Deeney talking about how little accountability there is from anyone at #watfordfc is absolutely sensational
