But teachers who ask parents for bullet points on their kids are just fine.

ive talked on how i wont engage with writers who use ai, i wont eat at a restaurant with an ai menu, i wont have anything to do with it. but what this post illustrates is regardless of how OTHERS react, ultimately the worst part about using ai is that you are punishing YOURSELF and dont even know it

Some all time great games here. And Tony Hawk

Apart from anything else it needs to be a Join campaign, not a rejoin campaign. Be active and positive about the future not harkening back to the good old days.

Talking about Rejoin certainly flushes out all of the people who must be allowed nowhere near any Rejoin campaign that intends to win.

The UK Budget is on Wednesday, so here is a reminder. On Wednesday, it will widely be seen as one of * a triumph * a disaster * a nonevent By Midday Thursday, this consensus will be shown to be wrong.

This looks a pretty good report on first scan. www.smf.co.uk/wp-content/u... but I hate this big 54% when what it actually means is ~10% of the survey responded in this way.

🚨 NEW POLLING🚨 AI is now so good at mimicking empathy that many people prefer it to their friends. 1 in 5 UK adults have used an AI chatbot for personal or relationship advice – and 54% of them found it more helpful than talking to friends or family.

This, and the photo that prompted it, reminds me so strongly of Hans Rosling's Magic Washing Machine. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZoK...

One reason why I do tend to push back at some of the more angry stuff about pensioners from people my age is that for all the current travails we have today, day-to-day life is just much easier than it was even a few decades ago. My dad didn't have an inside lavatory or hot water until he was 15.

Was it a little more complicated than that perhaps.

From @theathletic.com: Yale alums raised more than $30 million to restore a golf course known as a “national treasure.” Now, five months after the course's reopening, members of the community are looking at its condition and asking: What is going on? nyti.ms/3Vg5sEo

Also the latest first hurricane of the season for over a hundred years. It's a bit more complicated than that applies here.

Does anyone know if there is an autistic person friendly how to budget guide out there? Just had a quote frustrating talking at cross purposes convo with my middle child about University budgeting.

We loved this so much we just had to put English subtitles on it, apologies to the French speakers for our translation. But this is what it would look like here in the UK if Farage or Lowe or another of their ilk got their own way.

Exactly! You are creating this, if your own assessment is that this is a Bad Thing™ then it is on you to stop doing that.

Alex Andreou@sturdyalex.bsky.social

Seems to me that tech bros are hijacking the narrative to claim Some Mysterious and Uncontrollable Thing is being created, even as they continue to create The Very Thing. At this development stage, there is 0% chance that AI destroys humanity. There's a decent chance humanity destroys humanity.

They're on about immigration enforcement officers right?

Freedom Watch GB, a self-described “independent, youth-led civil liberties organisation” were in Cornmarket yesterday talking to passers by about migration. Reportedly he said "Imagine someone knocks on your door, you open it and they march straight upstairs"

A helpful key here for understanding what wingnuttery is and how it works, here. I 100% guarantee you this did not happen and that the boys she’s talking about - she later clarified they were “Pakistani” - do not exist. And yet, I can also assure you Eve is *absolutely convinced* she saw this.
