"When the end of the world comes, I want to be in Mississippi because it's always 50 years behind."
Native born/raised Mississippian. I suffer not trolls nor fools, gladly or otherwise.
It's really important to pay attention to the fact that Lula beat the fascist candidate not by compromising and trying to meet fascist voters in the middle, but by sticking to his guns, promising prosecutions for election interference, and mobilising his own voters to turn out in greater numbers.
And most importantly, DO NOT LEAVE THE POLLS WITHOUT VOTING! You still have the right to vote. If the issue cannot be resolved, request a provisional ballot.
Please share this with everyone you know in Fulton County. We cannot afford confusion at the polls!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to talk with me and share what matters most to them. When I’m elected to the U.S. Senate, I’ll represent every Mississippian — whether you voted for me or not. That’s what the job is all about. #MississippiMatters
Walking the line outside the Trump rally in Corinth, I was reminded that more unites us than divides us here in Mississippi. I heard from folks who want to get foreign money out of our elections, put an end to flock cameras, keep our border secure, and make sure our veterans are taken care of.
People over policies. Righteousness over rhetoric. Competence over chaos.
I’ve traveled every corner of this district, and one thing is clear: South Mississippi is ready for leadership that puts the people first.
I’ve spent a lifetime serving this country and this community, and I’m not done yet.
Rent. Tuition. Student loans and grants. Groceries and gas. Jobs to build a better future.
It’s all on the line, and it’s all on the ballot. Your vote matters.
Away at school? You likely qualify to vote absentee. Go to your home county’s Circuit Clerk’s office by noon Saturday, October 31.
This would be the very same woman who declared a law enforcement officer firing into a vehicle and killing a 1-year old baby was "justifiable".

This tells you everything you'd ever want to know about current MS AG (& gubernatorial candidate) Lynn Fitch:
" ... ruled the attorney general’s office was showing a “bias” for law enforcement, despite its legal responsibility to prosecute the manslaughter case against the white former officer ...

Y'all remember when the MS Republican Party went crying to MS AG Lynn Fitch about @scolom.bsky.social's campaign ad with AI content and she threatened the campaign?
Look what just started showing up in Republican Facebook posts:
Local TV station WLOX is absolutely worthless in terms of election coverage. No hard questions here at all. This was, in effect, a free campaign ad for incumbent Mike Ezell, someone who has yet to hold a town hall meeting or any other public event in MS CD-4.
And he sure as hell hasn't participated in a debate, one of those things "you do when running for the office". Instead, he's hiding from constituents.
If you call his office and ask for his public appearance schedule (which I did), they will refuse to provide it.
WLOX asks about none of this.

Ezell is full of shit.
While he has been "getting out, meeting people, talking to them, shaking hands", he's only doing so at private, invite-only events w/o any announcements ahead of time & w/ purpose of creating photo ops.
Ezell isn't meeting w/ members of general public but only w/ supporters. He has not once held a town hall meeting or any other type of truly public event where folks in MS CD-4 can directly question/criticize him.
between serbia, brazil, and hopefully november 3, a good reminder: voting works
it’s not the end, there’s always work to be done after the vote, but if you want to beat the motherfuckers and keep them out of power: vote your asses off
American conservatives are constantly bemoaning the decline of aesthetic standards and calling for a return to tailored suits and classical Roman architecture, but are now forced to defend the Cheesecake Factory. A constant tension between the Brooks Brothers patrician and the Kid Rock populist.
Rally speaker: "Mike Rogers is an American. Abdul has a birth certificate. The birth certificate says he's a citizen of America. You know what? a birth certificate doesn't make you an American."
I grew up in the church, and my faith has a lot to do with how I lead today. When I talk about raising the minimum wage, it’s because I believe in the dignity of work. When I talk about protecting our hospitals, it’s because I believe every child of God deserves access to good healthcare.
Something that's not being said. The REASON why Blanche and Bill Essayli are so defiantly violating the Constitution is bc John Roberts said they can't be prosecuted so long as they're following Trump's illegal orders.
Blanche's criminality arises DIRECTLY out of Trump v. US.
Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was driving his construction crew to work when an ICE officer shot and killed him in Houston.
He wasn’t even the person ICE was looking for.
Now Texas voters are leaving their “I Voted” stickers at his memorial.

Okay, if you are a Dem politician running in a red or purple area and the trans kids in sports comes up, why not just point out the creepiness of inspecting girls' genitals as condition of letting them play sports. You don't really have to go further than that.
No matter where you are in this district, I will come to your area and see the needs for myself.
Vote absentee now at your county circuit clerk’s office through noon Saturday, October 31, or at your polling place on November 3.
Mississippi Won’t Wait.

In the Fourth District, we are family, whether you live in town or down a county road.
When I say I’ll be accessible, accountable, and reliable, I mean it. That starts with showing up where you live instead of waiting for you to come find me. That’s why I was glad to be in Perry County this weekend.
When I hear some jackass bray about “MeN iN wOmEn’S sPoRtS!”, I want to punch them in the head.
Coached rec soccer when sons played. Most teams were coed. Girls were often far more aggressive than boys.
Attended grandson’s soccer game yesterday & saw nothing to change that opinion.
pardon power should only apply post conviction and/or *maybe* post indictment. The way to get the supreme court to sign off on this is to explicitly threaten to go after corruption on the court itself
I realize it would take a Constitutional amendment and that would be a tough slog, but the next Democratically-controlled Congress needs to dial back the ability of future US presidents to pardon.
Scoop: White House lawyers are weighing preemptive mass pardons for junior staff, sources says
Under discussion: Pardoning everyone involved in deportation, war, or trade policy

We're building something special here in Mississippi, and I'm grateful to Senator Sheldon Whitehouse for coming down and being part of it. #MississippiMatters
Given the shift in media ownership over the Trump era, Democrats REALLY need to learn to ignore media handwringing now. Because I have no doubt their every move for accountability will be attacked from every possible angle.
