The features @miriam.codes has helped bring to CSS (Cascade Layers, Container Queries, Scope) have been rooted in a deep understanding of CSS’ _ethos_. They try to close the gap between how CSS could be used, and how it commonly is. If you want to close that gap in your own work (I do!), sign up

I’ll use the quote I did for this page. Miriam has a unique talent of being extremely technical with CSS but communicates that so seamlessly and so inclusively that regardless of what level you’re at now, you’ll be so far beyond that when you learn from her. A true super talent. A bargain!

I consider myself a person who knows a lot about CSS... but @miriam.codes' knowledge eclipses mine by ~10,000%. She brings an artistry to the discipline of authoring CSS and I'm sure anyone – whether newbie or old-timer like myself – can learn a lot from her course.

I've been caught by this before, and I've seen other experienced #CSS devs get stuck on it: * { color: deepPink; } html#high-specificity { color: teal !important; } If we put that ID on the root, and some text in our document, what color will the text be?

Popover element (incl. showPopover) is approaching 90% on caniuse. Anchor positioning is at 79%. Anchor scope is at 78%. Two polyfills from @oddbird.dev cover large parts of the spec (incl. anchor-scope). I started using it at work this week.
