my counter to this always is that i think ppl actually extremely underestimate their own dysphoria. very similar to like growing up in an abusive environment and not realizing how fucked up it is until you go somewhere else and talk about it and everyone's like wow what the fuck that's so fucked up

drives me NUTS when people say 'intimacy' when they mean sex!!!! that's a different concept!! the two do not always overlap!! use the words that mean what you're trying to say!!

Christian persecution in America is best defined by this image: No actual struggle, wearing clothes that cost more than my entire wardrobe, polished cross instead of rugged, and surrounded by crowds of fellow hypocrites cheering on bigotry who believe they're the victims.

Bearing your cross is a lot easier with wheels.

I love these looks into the design process. Feed it directly into my veins!

Very strange to see so many liberals recognize "vaccine skepticism" as dangerous bullshit, but swallow "trans-affirming care skepticism" hook, line, and sinker. Both fly in the face of overwhelming medical consensus, and both are based on false "uncertainty" fueled by obvious ulterior motives.

I will be damned if I allow a bunch of Confederate-waving January 6th apologists give the American people a lecture on flag waving. There is ZERO reason to enter an argument about patriotism with people who still worship traitors to America 150+ years later. They. Are. Breaking. The. Law.

i need people to understand "death of the author" means the author can't dictate what you take away from the text, not that you're not complicit in what they do with the profit they make from you buying it in the first place

I switched this week. They had almost every audiobook on my wishlist and I got to support @utubookstore.bsky.social

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent. Opportunities are everywhere. Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

This is such a great thread. Let me add that there is nothing that you, an individual, can do, that will scale because you are one person. The people arguing that you should only do things that “scale” are justifying not doing anything.
