Beyond a new rape allegation, the @democrats-judiciary.house.gov report implicates current Attorney General Todd Blanche, stating he "may have engaged in criminal obstruction of justice while acting on a mission to protect Trump," referring to an interview with Ghislaine Maxwell. Seems like news!

The other resolution (which passed 15-12) calls on Raman to meet with DSA-LA leaders by Nov. 30. If she doesn't affirm her support for BDS and sign on to DSA's campaign to stop Israeli weapons transfers at LAX by Jan. 1, the NPC could vote to expel her. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Wow. This is funny because Blanche was on TV yesterday defending the suit on grounds that the Alaska election officials were on their side

Adam Klasfeld@klasfeldreports.com

Alaska authorities strongly oppose the Trump DOJ’s attempted “interference” in the election. This is significant because there were concerns the state—which sought to DQ the second Sullivan—would take the same side. But it didn’t. Quite the contrary. buff.ly/EJHtDpX

Wait, so Marist has a 7pt split between registered voters and their likely-voter screen?? If other pollsters have similar screens, we should be prepared for an absolute blowout next Tuesday

Dj@djsoke.bsky.social

what

If the average race is actually 7 pts more Dem than the polls are showing… i mean… some crazy unexpected shit is gonna happen. I’m talking Democrats winning Mississippi and South Dakota crazy

Impressive. But goes to show how malleable public opinion is. Put me in charge of the next Dem president’s ad team, and I could make the IRS popular. Sleek videos with IRS agents explaining all the loopholes billionaires use and how we’re gonna close every one.

In a phone call from Mogadishu, one of the Somalis who was sent to Guantanamo Bay before deportation said the ICE agents guarding the prison told him they would bring all of the Somalis they arrest to Gitmo.

RFK also made some overtly antisemitic comments about Covid if I recall correctly. It’s truly insane how fast he went from a fringe crank no one cared about to being in charge of all our food and medicine

For the fabulously wealthy, paying taxes is pretty much optional. They can borrow against their vast wealth, which is mostly an untaxed capital gain, without paying taxes. When they die, the capital gain goes to zero. And loopholes exist to bypass the estate tax too.

The only reason I can think of for this news not being absolutely everywhere is that large media orgs don’t want to be seen as putting their thumbs on the scales a week before election day. And that’s cowardly as shit.

My dream 2028 candidate has this platform: AI: Ban it ICE: abolish it Weed: legalize it Crypto: Ban it Medicare: expand it Stock buybacks: ban it Trump and family: imprison them Online gambling: ban it

No, fuck that. Just ban it. I’m so sick of mealy mouthed Democrats refusing to take a clear position on anything. Online gambling has been an abject disaster. It’s the next opioid epidemic. Ban it.

jamelle@jamellebouie.net

i don't think anyone should run explicitly on banning online gambling but i do think that a democratic-led government should just quietly take steps to undermine the industry and create an inhospitable regulatory environment

I will be the first to admit i was wrong about this issue. I never felt strongly about it, but i did use to believe that gambling should be legalized because it’s happening anyway and we may as well get tax revenue. But i never imagined how quickly it would ruin our society

My wife’s friend got foreclosed on last year because her husband stopped paying the mortgage after he got into $50k in sports gambling debt. It’s nonstop—every commercial now is about *gambling*. We need to ban it.

if you nationalize spacex and deport musk, turn over hegseth to iran, nationalize palantir and deport thiel, the rest of them will start cutting any deal they can

i can see an argument that at some point mass prosecutions of these guys might actually engender a backlash effect. i think you can just start with a peace deal with iran that involves turning over hegseth to them to answer for the children he killed and then going from there. it will have an effect

correct. it's wild to remember that so much of this could have been stopped cold by 5 or 6 people deciding they cared about our society. and their whole thing could be stripped down to the studs by dealing with maybe 70 guys

This is a really, really stupid thing to do—don’t ever do it. Not defending our healthcare system, which is an abomination. But getting divorced will cause so many more economic disadvantages, including healthcare disadvantages!!

Did the judiciary committee hold a press conference to announce the findings? If not, why not? Did they coordinate media hits on cable news? If not, why not? Did they all post it on social media? If not why not?

The evidence is pretty overwhelming that there was a large coordinated conspiracy to suppress votes by shutting down bus service. If Flavio was involved—and there is good reason to believe he is—he will deservedly go to prison.
