For my local House rep election, the current dude is MAGA and loves to do some stock selling before and after votes. Well he just came out with a new ad saying his opponent is backed by anti-gun and also Epstein associates. Even though he voted against releasing the files. Dude is just pathetic.

Until the 20th century, only white people could claim citizenship in America. With MAGA, even being a citizen is insufficient to being an American; whiteness is all.

Pretty famously (because Eleanor Roosevelt resigned ovr it), the DAR refused to allow Black performers at the DAR Constitution Hall until 1952. The DAR didn't have an African American member until '77, and still discriminated against Black applicants (again, pretty famously) well into the '80s.

I randomly began thinking about this yesterday, that more people just say "morning" or "Afternoon" and drop the Good before it. I acknowledge that it's an understood, just seems weird, to say a factual word as a greeting w/out the Good before it. Like why not just say "Day" as a greeting
