I’ve seen writers who are too strict in who they query. If the MSWL doesn’t mention their specific subgenre, they self-select to not query at all. Unless an agent says they don’t work with that genre or it’s a topic they actively don’t like, go ahead and query if they otherwise seem like a good fit.

LOL!!! As someone who has to print customers' AI-generated visual assets at work not infrequently, this is so, so true. The files are so bad, and basically never set up to any standard, let alone being the size the customer says they're supposed to be. 😩

I am somewhat annoyed about having a snap election, but time to put that aside and go vote. Voting matters, elections have consequences.

Calico is our favourite "fill in patterns as best you can as you box yourself into a corner" game. While Knitting Circle doesn't supercede it, it is a fine addition to the genre. It still feels puzzly, but not suffocating, & the implementation of simultaneous tile placement is a boon to the pace.

So interesting: was Game Changer influenced by Taskmaster, or vice versa? Some bits are easy to tell (Sam Says, to studio task) but others (Pretend X isn't in the room) are possibly on concurrent production timelines.
