Put together some random space puzzle with my daughter and it drops this "fact" with no additional info. Apparently Jupiter is only the fourth largest object in our solar system? What are objects 2 and 3?

Now that my daughter and I have finished Super Mario Galaxy, I bought her (me) the storybook! It's smaller than I expected but so pretty 😍

Yes obviously this is a good idea because individual consumers always get lower prices than wholesale customers.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Roger Marshall: "We want patients to become consumers again. We want patients to see what the actual prices are. We believe that if we would add the price tags to this bill, that it would save the country a trillion dollars a year."

Thanks again for all the love on my Hades girls! With these I wanted to blend the things I liked about the Hades artstyle with my own artstyle, and I'm super honored it's so well received! 💚

I'm not into K-pop in general but I need a full HUNTR/X album, Netflix make it happen!

There's a small genre of song that's like "song created for a movie that is supposed to be a hit song within the fictional world of the movie." Have any been actual good-enough-to-be-hits besides "Golden" and "I Am A Man of Constant Sorrow?"

This is an underappreciated gem of a game. Great time to buy it.

UNSIGHTED is 60% off on Steam Summer Sale! Almost at 1.6k reviews! (5 remaining 😭) Purchasing UNSIGHTED also helps fund our next game, ABYSS X ZERO! (For those asking abt crowdfunding: we're fully funding AXZ through UNSIGHTED’s sales, so this is the best way to support us!) #gamedev #indiegame

Why are people complaining about the Pope? Either you're not Catholic and therefore he is irrelevant, or you're Catholic and therefore he's infallible and you're just plain wrong.

Chihiro from SPIRITED AWAY is the most millennial-coded character in fiction: - forced to beg in order to get worst job in the entire universe - incompetent at work due to being coddled by pig boomer parents - immediately starts dating her manager - quits after two days to move back home

"Mars cold. Make Mars warmer. Then people can live there" This man has a fifth grader's understanding of science. How anyone can think he's a genius is beyond me.

My daughter made up a card game based on the #Google "no Internet" dinosaur game, called "exploding dinosaurs coming soon" The goal is to keep jumping over birds and cactuses until your hand fills up with exploding dinosaurs, at which point you lose.

The art of the deal: give up your strongest bargaining point before negotiations have even begun.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Hegseth: "We must start by recognizing that returning to Ukraine's pre-2014 borders is an unrealistic objective ... the US does not believe that NATO membership for Ukraine is a realistic outcome of a negotiated settlement."

Can't agree with this more. Not only this, but it's also healthy for kids to not have your attention constantly and learn to play by themselves.

Evan Greer@evangreer.bsky.social

152. If/when you become a parent, do not abandon your hobbies and passions even if it's hard to juggle. Your kid needs a ton of your attention, but not all of it. Lead by example and show them that it's important to carve out time for yourself and pursue your dreams, rather than being a martyr

Great article! I wish more climate politicians and communicators in Australia would emphasise not just the necessity, but also the enormous, once in a generation opportunity that the green energy transition provides us. We have abundant green energy, and taking advantage could make us all wealthy.

The transition to renewable #energy and clean transport is a gold rush – and with the US electing to sit this one out, it’s time for our second Eureka moment

But this is the critical time, if we sit back and let the Coalition put the brakes on our renewable energy rollout, we risk falling behind and missing the opportunity to be a global leader in green manufacturing. The US has given us a gift, we should not squander it.

Labor really is the shit lite party in Australia. Time to fuck them off for good and vote for politicians who aren't captured by the fossil fuel industry.

My Bluesky discover feed used to show me posts aligned to my interests. Now it's full of cringe memes and AI generated slop. Have I changed something or is this just the inevitable result of algorithmic feeds when social networks grow?

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

I have a new analysis at Carbon Brief that 2024 will very likely be the first year above 1.5C in most surface temperature groups – Berkeley, Hadley, and Copernicus/ERA5, as well as in the aggregate of records used by the WMO and IPCC: www.carbonbrief.org/...

Renewables only get us a quarter of the CO2 reductions we need. Fully half of emissions we have no solution for and massive government subsidies are required and not forthcoming for meaningful progress. If we do start to see some sustained emissions reductions they will be short lived.

You are up to date.
