I’m going to talk candidly for a bit about mayor-incumbent @ptfry.bsky.social’s comment regarding “YIMBY vs NIMBY” being a waste of time. I disagree with this take, and largely because he doesn’t know what it was like before YIMBYs came along - Fry was first elected in 2018.

I could be wrong 🤷‍♂️ But the NDP capitulating on so many progressive issues seems like it gained them ~0 conservative votes, while losing them thousands of supporters.
