New CheckPoint! The PS5 price spike, the AI "games" platform, Beej is—as ever—very normal about Sonic, and I go off on a tear about Bobby Kotick.

Everybody, myself included, thinks they have the best dog. And you know what? We're all right.

I think this could work as a convention badge holder design for #Nordicfuzzcon haha. With a nice collar-clip, it should look somewhat convincing. xD

Sunset photoshoot with these white-faced ibises! Despite the moderately-terrifying red eyes, these birds are stunning when the sun hits their iridescent feathers just right. #Birds #Photography

Dunno if this was a scene from Alien or Aliens but I saw someone vomiting white blood when I was like 4 and that stuck with me. Wasn't phased by most of Terminator 2 except the bit with the eyeball. Saw that a lot when I was like 6. Very responsible parent. XD

when ai leaves u behind

There’s a new crater on the moon and it’s unlikely to happen again in our lifetimes. Created by a comet or asteroid striking the moon between April 11 and May 22, 2024, it is the largest, newly formed crater discovered in our solar system.

🎃🔮💙💜🔮🎃 Welcome to Spywarpoween! A month of gently spooky spywarp fics! With beautiful art by @motolokiev.bsky.social, thank you so much! Today's fic: The Aura Reader 🔮 archiveofourown.org/works/93850211

Finding Backrooms frightening largely due to all the unanchored furniture.

Disability rights have just been butchered nationally and Bsky halved the character limit for alt text so I can’t even share the full disability coalition letter?! I am so pissed right now.

One of my fave stories ever! And you don't need to know anything about Transformers to fully enjoy it. :)

Saw the original Ghost in the Shell at the Alamo. That dub is so bad. XD But the art is beautiful. A lot of "what? ... why?" but still a fun 1995 anime.

Let’s all just celebrate a very old, very goofy holiday, and all agree to ignore that this video now displays as “20y ago” on YouTube. Thank you. Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day. 🏴‍☠️ youtu.be/RzkQC0e91Nc

The first art that has like really... made my brain light up in a while, and kind of broke open the floodgates.

My new Trey Magnifique album is out today! Check it out at treymagnifique.bandcamp.com/album/bebop-...

Burn Bright lil Critter

Sick of not making food for myself so I bought a 2008 crockpot cookbook with 1400 recipes in it. Already got the stuff to make teriyaki chicken. :9 Between this and being able to finally get groceries delivered I'm feeling good about things. :)

I tell people a lot that you gotta be the #1 fan of your own work because at the beginning you’ll be the ONLY fan of your work. If you aren’t making it for you then who are you making it for?

Absolutely horrified and confused. XD I was still very churchy, judgmental, and didn’t know the word “transgender”. Would be impressed by the art and being in books. :) Also the apartment.

The argument against AI should always start with the THEFT of creative labor the technology was built on. The intent was CRIMINAL. CEOs should be facing charges, not class action lawsuits. The devastation these companies continue to inflict on creative communities demands accountability.

This game I've been helping test is available to wishlist! It's really fun and made by like three people (who are all delightful). :) Can't wait for the full release! store.steampowered.com/app/5204180/...

Reminder - table top fire pits like this are dangerous. If you have one at home, toss it. If there is one at your vacation rental, don't use it.

I think it's really important to tell people what they mean to you while you still have them. To openly express your adoration of a piece of art or writing or sculpture or music. Please be sure to tell people if you love their stuff.

A long time friend's dad is dying and they're raising money to make his last months as good as they can and cover care after. Dealer Mike is and always will be a cool guy. Please spread the word if you can. gofund.me/20c39f09a

I'm excited to be part of this zine! I'm getting to draw something I've wanted to exist for like 20 years and it's very fun! :D

Found out today that you can read pretty much all of ElfQuest for free, legally! 8O I only remember one thing about this series but you can see its influence everywhere. It's very 70s/80s and I love that. elfquest.com
