I designed this symbol using the morew and shiki motifs to represent the movements of the Ainu diaspora, the Repunkuru. Waves moving across the ocean in every direction, but our hearts still return to the center with our ancestors in Ainu Moshiri 🌊🌊🌊🌊

Day 27: Is God Is. Vivica A. Fox's characterdescribing the home invasion is terrifying. Luscious sounds design, gorgeous color and textures, really a sensory delight, scary and funny, I love this movie.

Day 26: Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. Twin Peaks shows us that straight white men are a thousand times more deadly and terrifying than ghosts and demons, but that won't stop the feds from trying to find ghosts and demons responsible for the evil that men do on their own.

Rest in peace to actor and screenwriter Walter Koenig, who passed yesterday at the age of 90. Koenig will be forever remembered as Chekov in STAR TREK and Alfred Bester in BABYLON 5. STARLOG sends our love to his family, friends, and infinite fans.

Dale Cooper was sentenced to the Black Lodge for 25 years for doing everything in his power to absolve Laura Palmer's killer instead of solving her murder, fight me about it 🥊

Day 25: Silver Bullet. GARY BUSEY FIST-FIGHTS A WEREWOLF. This might be my favorite movie, period. It was the last VHS tape I bought at the mall.

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

Day 21, 22, 23, 24: Psycho, Psycho 2, Psycho 3, and Psycho 4. Shocking how aggressively okay the sequels to Psycho are. I like 1-3 a lot. 4 is the weakest, but Norman Bates telling his life story to some shock jock radio host is pretty funny.

An amazing image from Twin Peaks, Dune, and Fallout star Kyle MacLachlan's memoir "Fictional Selves" that just shows how awesome Patrick Stuart is.

Ah yes my favorite topic as someone with total aphantasia, who people LOVE to claim are utterly helpless without AI help. My mind cannot conjure images, sounds or any sensations. No inner monologue. No dreams. And SDAM, so I don’t even have vivid memories And yet I draw. Without the shit machine :)

This post is unavailable.

Day 20: Bride of Chucky. I probably saw this one too young, but this was the first Chucky movie I ever saw. 3rd or 4th grade, the OG Child's Play movies seemed a little too scary to rent, but Bride was enough of a comedy to take the edge off.

One of my favorite sci-fi shows of the decade—of the century!—is celebrating its third anniversary today. Scavengers Reign was a shooting star🌠, poorly supported by HBO Max and then Netflix (as it was only available in a handful of countries), but I'm so glad this one season exists.

Day 16 and 17: Nosferatu the Vampyre, and The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Dracula Boat aka Dracula's commute is just a very funny idea to me. I remember some weird dark humor in Herzog's Nosferatu, but that was definitely a stoned quarantine watch.

Day 15: Men In Black. I appreciate how creepy and almost goth the first MIB is. 🛸
