I wrote a thing about how to translate Brand and Branding into signals that can make them being understood by Google and AI.. it is not a short read, but I am convinced you will find it interesting: www.iloveseo.net/the-role-of-...
Just completed this 2025 SEO Tools Survey. If you use any SEO tools, you should too!! (Because I want to know what everyone is using these days 😁) webmarketingschool.com/best-seo-too...

Not to mention the longer the query, the harder the keyword research! The shifts in search behaviour has made me re-evaluate how we should be sizing "search markets". Search volumes are feeling less and less accurate.
@randfish.bsky.social just had a thought...for a LONG time I've been watching # of words per query growing over time as an indicator of people moving to AI search (longer queries)...after your research on navigational searches, I'm rethinking this. That research continues to make me rethink things.

This is such a great idea! 😍 So many non-SEO books that mention SEO or have SEO implications. I recently read Filterworld, and it has been on my mind from an SEO perspective... Anyone else have any books they would recommend that fall into a similar category?
Hey ya'll! I am thinking about starting up an SEO book club. One book and one meeting per month. I think they will be more business and tech books, than straight SEO books - but TBD. LMK if you are interested in joining and we will figure out the first book and the first meeting time!

So about ten years ago I found a small network of bots on Reddit dedicated to spreading hate. The thing about it is that these weren't even responding to political topics - they were just responding to random keywords with insults and hate. The same bots are now here. You should understand why. 🧵
this is kind of a niche issue but: if you are getting weird and hostile responses that feel a little off, there are some folks on here making accounts that automatically reply to large quantities of posts in a vaguely hostile manner. you can ignore them, and also, it's not personal
Great reminder to think before you post that pic. Doxxing has gotten a whole lot easier, but also what is it that you want companies to be learning about you? Why would this not eventually be used for audience segmentation and marketing?
A photo sharing startup founded by an ex-Google engineer found a clever way to turn Google’s tech against itself. This website shows how much Google's AI can glean from your photos:
ngl I find this so depressing. Don't get me wrong. Great insights, appreciate the research that has gone into this... But I don't like how this reflects us as a society 🙃
Fascinating insights from the latest @randfish.bsky.social research about how people use Google (from a 332M queries analysis over 21 months). Top takeaways: #1: Google has become every brand’s home page: one-third of Google’s usage is purely navigational ...
🔥🔥🔥 Fantastic resource!! Some great stats and insights here that I will definitely be citing for end-of-year reports. Cheers to @not-a-robot.com, @tamethebots.com, and @michaellewittes.bsky.social for compiling this huuuuge doc!
