"We are continually told by some Trump supporters that we are not to believe our “lying eyes” that there was in fact a violent siege of the Capitol shown on live television. The attackers have been recast, by some Trump sympathizers, as some sort of heroes who deserve our money." -MacFarlane 😡

My unscientific poll of drivers I observe when strolling with our cute grandkids around our neighborhood is the ones who don't wave at us are looking down at their phones.

I do not believe that this insight of mine is getting the appropriate amount of attention.

I think what he’s saying is they want to add up all the first choice and second choice votes for people who ranked the Sullivans one and two and act like they were all first choices for the incumbent. But won’t that happen anyway, unless Peltola gets a clear majority in the first round ?

Trump himself is America's actual enemy

Me: "It cannot be stated often enough or vociferously enough: the Trump Administration is helping Russia to conquer Ukraine. The United States of America has taken the side of an aggressor against its innocent victim. We are helping our actual enemies" www.aei.org/foreign-and-...

TIL: Half of all seafood globally is farmed, and most of that is fed fishmeal and fish oil. Aquaculture, a $313 billion industry, is the fastest-growing segment of global food production.

It all comes down to Maine. It comes down to us. We know what’s at stake. We know that a vote for Susan Collins is a vote for Donald Trump. Let’s win this thing and take back the Senate.

Ukraine was winning the war, so Trump kneecapped Ukraine to help Russia. I wish it weren’t that simple, but it is. Our president is in bed with our enemies.

The BBC is doing something important, refusing to be intimidated by a powerful person trying to use the legal system to punish criticism and discourage scrutiny. They’re schooling the American press on what the 1st Amendment means. Read about it here: joycevance.substack.com/p/the-bbc-st...

joycevance.substack.comThe BBC Strikes BackWith so much going on right now, we pick up with an unusual Friday afternoon column to cover Trump’s defamation case against the BBC.

Vivek's despicable ad against Amy Acton is not only going to hurt the GOP in Ohio up and down the ballot, the GOP is going to suffer collateral damage from this ad in states around the country. It shows once again how cruel, deplorable and immoral the GOP has become.

Trump rushing to defend the woman who stood by her step-husband after he raped her daughter. It says something that this is entirely predictable rather than incredibly shocking.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "What's happened is the press has ganged up on a woman making a horrible statement about her daughter, and I don't why she should be shielded. She said she was a dirty liar ... I say she's fair game."

When Ukraine does not stop fighting Russia then Trump will turn around and blame Europeans and Canadians for supposedly sabotaging his party's chances of winning the mid-terms. The word of the US government is not worth a bowl of spit for the foreseeable future

Alexander Clarkson@aphclarkson.bsky.social

I doubt Starlink limitations will severely hamper Ukraine's mid-strike campaign as planners in Kyiv have not trusted the US for a while. From an EU/UK angle I'd worry more about how unreliable US leaders could tamper with basic intel and air defence systems Europe and Canada use

One night only of moving chickens from factory coop cages to double-trailer cages. Brutal sadistic work.

You know who’s NOT going to investigate Trump’s aid and comfort to Putin, Senator Cornyn? Ken Paxton. If you really want an investigation, you’d endorse James Talarico.
