Surprise... The child rapist came out in favor of child rapists.
Trump: "Ramaswamy put up a very powerful Ad about a mother saying that her daughter, Acton, is a liar, and much worse. The Press is trying to get him to 'take down the Ad.' Frankly, anybody whose mother spoke about daughter that way would normally lead to the daughter being precluded from serving"

Last week I wrote about how Texas politicians’ “free speech” campaign has led to a campaign of academic censorship in the state’s universities that exceeds even the McCarthy era (🎁🔗) www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/1...

Scott Bessent is the living proof of the old joke that the easiest way to become a millionaire is to start with $2M and lose half of it. He turned a $5.7B fund into $537M of value before he transitioned to a job on the government dime.
Bessent on Democratic voters: "These are underachievers who are jealous of those who want to go and work every day"

In the context of the Trump regime’s assaults on academic freedom and free speech, this means official U.S. policy is that race science is one of the very few things it’s acceptable to do at a university, and must be promoted by the state, while most other pursuits should be crushed by the state.
Nathan Cofnas and the US Ambassador to Belgium say that the University of Ghent have now lifted his suspension, thanking the US government for supporting him (with threats of retaliation). The Ambassador says that Cofnas will be able to complete his one year appointment to March 2027.

There are going to be Democrats who say we shouldn’t rip it all out — it’s already built, we have other priorities — but removing the visible signs of Trumpism is absolutely necessary.
The vandalism and desecration of the White House isn't just vanity and it's not trivial. It's caesarism, as in literally what Julius Caesar did to the symbolic architecture of civic republicanism. Our national iconography matters and allowing the disfiguring of it to persist is a substantive harm.
