I hate him, and I blame every Republican for him, and I’m going to hold them all accountable. They can’t be trusted with any measure of power.

Just kinda seems like refusing to tell us which ICE agents murdered Alex Pretti undercuts the idea that they’re wearing masks to protect themselves — rather than to be able to kill people with impunity.

I have some congresspeople who follow me, so I'll just throw this out there: As a taxpayer, I would actually prefer that you *not* continue to fund the fascist military machine that is being used to kill and kidnap people from our communities.

I wish I still believed this, but the DNC's actions make me think they dont care to change.

CONSULT STIPULATIONS IN PREVIOUS POSTS BEFORE REPLYING I believe that the Democratic Party is likely to be transformed for the better by the 2024 loss, at horrific and avoidable cost. I believe it would likely have been transformed for the better by a 2020 loss, at less though still horrific cost.

Bending your institution to meet the prejudices of your dumbest, meanest students is a surefire way to destroy a university. Now any student can just scrawl “the Bible says this is wrong” on any test and skate to an A at the Oklahoma Football Outlet and Diploma Factory.

CNN@cnn.com

The University of Oklahoma has removed an instructor who was accused by a student of religious discrimination over a failing grade on a psychology paper in which she cited the Bible and argued that promoting a “belief in multiple genders” was “demonic.” https://cnn.it/4b6g3rd

I'm getting tired of this President using his platform to verbally abuse and demean people in our country just because he can. Hey dickhead, try doing your job better instead of focusing on all the 1980s put-downs.

If you want a functional, effective government you should vote for people that believe the government can be functional and effective.

7/ Second, I think Will is mistaken to describe this as a *Congress* problem rather than a *Republican* problem. The last time the Democrats had majorities (and therefore agenda-setting power) in both chambers was the 117th Congress. And that was a tremendously productive Congress!

If we're not at war, Pete Hegseth is a murderer. If we are at war, Pete Hegseth is still a murderer. He's a murderer. And you don't need to go to The Hague to hold him accountable because there are perfectly good, American laws AGAINST MURDER. My latest in @thenation.com

thenation.comPete Hegseth Should Be Charged With MurderNo matter how you look at the strikes on alleged “drug boats”—as acts of war or attacks on civilians—Hegseth has committed a crime and should be prosecuted.

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

I know it’s too much to expect them to know their history, but if the American Revolution had a motto, it definitely would not have been “immigrants go home.” It would have been “get your fucking soldiers out of our cities.”

America... boy, I dunno.

The Supreme Court announcing that a president cannot not be held criminally liable for virtually anything he does in office based on nothing in the text, structure, or history of the Constitution was extremely bad, IMHO

Take away the Voting Rights Act and Jim Crow comes roaring back. This has always been why Chief Justice John Roberts wants to take away the Voting Rights Act

North Carolina already one of most gerrymandered states. Now GOP passing new gerrymander giving Rs nearly 80% of seats in state where Trump got 51%. Specifically targets Black Dem Don Davis. This is preview of what post-Voting Rights Act America will look like www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

This is the asymmetry in our politics and media. If this was the other way around, Biden had pardoned someone then charged with trying to kill Trump, it would be the biggest story in America and every Republican commentator, congressman, news outlet, would be screaming about it in unison.

Speaking of "hate America," this guy and his GOP colleagues are smirking about rejecting the will of the American people. The Americans of Arizona's 7th district chose to send Grijalva to Congress but the GOP hates the majority of Americans and refuse to let them have any say in government.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

KARL: I mean, you could swear in Adelita Grijalva tomorrow, right? MIKE JOHNSON: No, not tomorrow. We couldn't. We wouldn't.

I’m autistic. Not because of Tylenol. Not because of vaccines. Not because of some headline. I’m autistic because that’s how my brain works. Stop treating us like a problem. Start listening to us.

Today, the UN officially designated Israel’s assault on Gaza as a genocide. As a party to the Genocide Convention, the U.S. has a legal obligation to obey our own laws, stop weapons sales to Israel, and demand a permanent ceasefire. End the genocide. Ceasefire now.

In an interview with the Prospect, the rising populist star Graham Platner spoke of a new Gilded Age and a need to take on billionaires and their control of our political system. Read the full profile from Austin Ahlman:
