Remember how Texas cops tried to find an abortion patient by using data from an automatic license plate reader (ALPR) that gave them access to over 83,000 cameras across the country? I sure do!

Automobile dependence erodes public health in many ways: blunt force trauma (#1 cause for children and young adults), air pollution (CVD, asthma), noise pollution (QoL, dementia) but perhaps the most pernicious is that it has almost completely displaced walking. www.sciencedaily.com/releases/201...

there really is no alternative to tearing up CBP and ICE root and branch
A US citizen with a learning disability who has just suffered a medical emergency asks a CBP officer for directions outside the emergency room. He ends up detained in an icebox for ten days and has the assistant secretary of DHS lying about him to the public at large. popular.info/p/us-citizen...

An opinion I am developing while doing this project is that if your city has a separate committee for "Equestrian" anything then you need to be immediately absorbed into the nearest city without one.
Update: as of today I am officially 50% done with this very long webscraping project. Also, in case you were wondering, since January of 2008, the city of Los Angeles has held 10,227 public meetings for which there are Agendas available. Which is a thing I know now.

Just a normal day in America where the Army Secretary now runs the ATF. No big deal. Just a military official taking over a civilian law enforcement agency. Totally fine. Nothing authoritarian to see here. 🤬 It's #Project2025 in action as planned

it’s a perfect plan. we will fire everyone doing skilled work in science, technology and medicine and force them into factories making consumer electronics. this will enrich the country somehow.
There are still people that think this man is something other than incredibly stupid. *LEAVITT: TRUMP THINKS US HAS WORKFORCE TO MAKE IPHONES ONSHORE

Rand Paul: "The whole [tariffs] debate is so fundamentally backwards & upside down. It's based on a fallacy & the fallacy is this: that somehow in a trade, someone must lose. That somehow when you trade with someone, someone is taking advantage of you... I have a trade deficit with my grocery store"
