Drinks tea out of a soup mug. Pockets are filled with bits of plastic the cat was trying to chew on. As elusive as Robert Denby. Noah Webster did nothing wrong. Now writing at http://hello-from-tomorrow.com.

Nothing I write uses ChatGPT. All of it uses Chat631, which is four decades in the making and runs on tea, tuna and Cup-A-Soups

Bought a home blood pressure monitor because mine's been high on my last couple of medical visits, but that might be because I don't have a car and I'm walking to every appointment in the heat and across busy roads. We'll see what the numbers looks like when I've been couchlocked for 2 hours

Couldn't find the cat last night, and he's a butt who doesn't come to his name. Thank god my colour vision is as good as it is, because it was the slight difference in shades of black here that gave me my answer

Y'all I might need to quit caffeine, this blows. I mostly weaned myself off my daily Diet Coke habit, and I'm only an occasional coffee drinker, but the daily tea is going to be hard to give up. Plus there's that 2 weeks of intense headaches when you're detoxing

I don't like my resting heart rate right now, though, so I gotta do something about it, or several somethings, and less caffeine is the most obvious

I’m not sure I understand what he’s going for here.

Just did a literal spit take all over my desk. I felt a cough coming on as soon as I had a big sip of tea, and instead of spitting back into the cup, my body was like "naw, this'll be way funnier." That's how my day is going

And Rosa Parks was just a little old lady who has just plain had enough one day and refused to give up her seat, and everyone was shocked at her audacity and rethought their bigotry and racism ended forever that day, the end

As a creative, I have too often been afraid to actually write my ideas because I feared I would ruin them or waste them with poor execution. This is coward talk. You only get better by doing, and you will have other ideas (or can revisit old ones!). I still struggle with this, even in middle age

the idea phase is the easiest and least valuable part of professional creativity. read the first draft of the first Star Wars if you doubt me Great art is made in the grinding, often miserable collision between the ethereal substance of an idea and the mud and blood and friction of reality

This is absolutely my jam

i am on a plane sitting next to a lady who looks 40ish and has informed me that this is her first time flying she is visibly excited. she asked the flight attendant how much a soda costs and was happy to learn that drinks are free on airplanes. she's taking lots of pictures. i love this for her

There were a lot of cultural adjustments that did frustrate me at first (learning to live without a dryer was among them), and I got very lucky being accepted into a family, a friend group, and a job who embraced me fully. But yeah, other countries aren't theme parks, or like in the movies

There are two things I do every day that produce very little value and take up time that I could be using on more productive tasks. Those two things are playing mobile games on my phone and reading the American news

The mobile games are little hits of dopamine that are costing me actual progress in my goals and hobbies. The American news is just infuriating and I don't need to check on it any more than once a week

This is my public declaration that I'm trying to be better and use my time more wisely. Here's hoping that's how it works.

Too much indigestion to eat the frog today, but boy am I getting a lot of little things knocked off my work to-do list today πŸ’ͺ

The chart for American gun ownership looks the same (not implying it's the same group of people). Many people have no guns, a few have one gun, a couple have like 6 guns, and a select few are stockpiled for Armageddon

If you're not familiar with the alcohol consumption by decile chart, it's a real eye opening look at what being a hardcore alcoholic is like
