#tesco please change the colour of your chicken and beef mix (ergh). No we are having chicken bolognaise and I paid extra for it thinking it was 5% fat beef.

Piers Morgan “Mohammed, do you condemn the Hamas attacks on October the 7th?” Mohammed Hijab “Yes, I do. Do you condemn Israel killing over 1000 kids?” Piers Morgan “I believe Israel has a right to defend themselves” That answer should be on the tombstone of his career.

Clarkson is a fucking hobby farmer. His livelihood doesn't depend on the success or failure of his farm. He's fine regardless so he can piss about pretending to be a farmer without any real jeopardy.

For a long time I have heard rumours that you strangle kittens for fun and worship Satan. I have never believed it and still don’t. Am I doing this right?

Well said Bridget Phillipson on BBC Laura Kuenssberg on how disturbing it is “to question people’s British identity on the basis of their skin colour.” The question was in response to Rishi Sunak’s excellent recent @thetimes.com article. We must confront racism.

I don't use Facebook much these days, just for Marketplace. But I had a quick skim through and it's old age just wall to wall old racist, "like it used to be" fodder.

Iceland is not in the EU, but it is a member of the Schengen area. It’s also a member of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and is part of the Single Market, meaning it enjoys freedom of movement with the EU. Good to know that doesn’t impact their independence. Maybe we should try it, Nige.

Interesting but a post with comments disabled is highly suspicious - the first thing I do when reading anything of potential substance is to see if the first comment debunks it.

Reform and its predecessor party spent over £645,000 on polling and canvassing work from an anonymous sole trader going by the name ‘COR Research’ bylinetimes.com/2026/08/28/r...

No wonder climate change is so hard to get across to people. My teenage kids leave the fan on in their bedrooms with the door shut to cool it down while they are out.

The Guardian says "Nigel Farage set for decisive but arguably empty victory in Clacton" There is no decisive against the Count. Farage should win 99% with 1% for a laugh. Anything other than that is not decisive it and absolute joke.

I'm hopeful for Clacton. In 2024, Farage got 21225 / 78245 votes. In 2026, ? / 33645 I'd guess Farage has lost votes, not gained at worst BF:NF = 12420:21225 at worst which is roughly 40:60 to Farage. That could easily tip in Binface's favour.

It’s election week! At this important moment I would like to address your entire planet with a message to the people of Earth. And I think I found the perfect place to do it.

Do you want to hazard a guess at what this “jaw-dropping” list of freebies included? What luxuries asylum seekers might be being given “for free” in Thetford? Xboxes? Plasma TVs? iPhones? Ferraris? Let's take a look👀 🧵 1/22

There's a weird set of traffic lights near me. They are 3 way at a T-junction that you can't see from the main road. It's to left people out of the T-junction so the main road turn green at the same time - it's a shock to go on green and see cars coming towards you in their lane.

So, is holy water still holy if I put a drop of tap water in it? If it is then is it less holy? If it isn't then where has the holiness gone, the holy water is still there?

2019 - Boris Johnson announced his 'ready made plan for social care'. 2019 - No tax rises in Tory manifesto. 2021 - Johnson to increase NI by 1.25% to fund social care 2022 - Truss cancels NI increase 2024 - Tories leave social care problem to Labour to sort out 2026 - Tories whine over cost.

You have to read through it all to get the very real point.

I have a modest proposal for a new tax. It involves a deck of cards and a monkey throwing darts. Here are the rules:

I can't help but feel frame generation is exactly what the cinema needs. I think the days of 24fps have long gone and the technology should easily show 100+fps so why not AI the frames in between?

Enjoyed Sam Coates' long monologue on how the VAT discount in energy bills is BOTH an insignificant drop in the ocean AND impossibly difficult to fund. Enjoyed Chris Mason's monologue about how yesterday was BOTH a total purge of all senior Starmer people AND not really real change. As you were.

This has really peed me off, biggest worry is if a Labour government doesn't introduce them an incoming Tory government even 10 years from now will and they'll use a private company. It's not a good start for Burnham, a short sighted backward step, my expectations were low for good reason.

Brilliant. See also “I kissed her in the train yesterday”, which can have eight different meanings by adding the word “only” in different places.
