Okay, bear with me for a second. Because I've held this theory for a long time. And I kinda feels like this confirms it. The death of Harambe was the tipping point of no return for the unserious right-wing turn of America. 🧵

This is a real video from the official White House account on a war that is currently killing people. I don’t know how the US is going to come back from this. The post was “JUSTICE THE AMERICAN WAY. 🇺🇸 🔥”

Anywhere you find conservatism in the world -- in whatever political or religious guise -- you find misogyny.

The Heritage Foundation has released a 250-year roadmap to “save America.” The document is a how-to guide for subjugating girls & young women: a detailed plan to push them out of college, funnel them into early marriage and motherhood, and then trap them there. jessica.substack.com/p/theyre-com...

This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again. www.nature.com/immersive/d4...

Bluesky has just welcomed & verified ICE. Yes, you can (and should) block @icegov.bsky.social … …but also think about the violent dangerous hatred the ICE account will spread to those who don't block it, and the consequent radicalisation. Time to consider Fediverse/Mastodon! #Trump #ICE #Fascism

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque: "This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

If I’m understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?

Leider!

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of reasons to believe that Donald Trump is a fool. But the fact that it took almost a decade for him to figure out that Putin has been playing him for one is as good as any.

Trump: "We get a lot of bullshit thrown at us by Putin, if you want to know the truth. He's very nice all the time but it turns out to be meaningless."

Any time I talk about a wealthy person's outfit, someone in the comments is quick to reply: "They're rich, you think they care?" No one has to care about my opinions or clothes, regardless of net worth. But let's talk about the connection between wealth and aesthetics 🧵
