I am disgusted that there are 52 people, that voted to confirm him, still sitting in senate.

He needs to be impeached just for being this stupid. It's embarrassing to have someone this stupid in front of a microphone.

Is this... real? I use public transportation, don't own a car but at least twice a year I gotta get a cab to and from the JFK and it was always an issue since I remember, like 20 years.

Everyone should read these threads I did about industry lobbyists and the EPA and understand them. Take the time to see the unambiguous evidence of what's happening now at this moment inside the EPA. Please retweet them. Please read them. Each one of the threads. It's happening in slow motion.

OMG they are just trying to dumb us all down. She ain't that stupid! This is not an "impossible task"! They just want us to skip thinking altogether.

Monday's Weather Rating: 9/10 Another gorgeous day, with beautiful sunshine and comfortable dew points. It's actually a bit warm for this time of year, with highs in the low 70s. For the most part, the vibes remain excellent out there!!

This is so depressing...

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

The average reading comprehension level of grownups in our country is a misleading stat. It may be at 7-8 grade level, but most of the target demo for the gop are on 5 (NY Post type of literacy). That's why these smarter but dishonest people pretend not to understand the joke and serve ragebait.

i believe that I was 5 or 6 years old (so '77 or '78) and that my parents dragged us to the theater to see an old movie, "Lassie, come home"? Black and white. All I remember is the dog jumping over some fence and the rickety sound of the projector.

First film you saw at the cinema. The real first one, not the pretend one you tell people! Mine: The Empire Strikes Back, 1980, Wigan. We were near the front and I can still remember how massive the AT-ATs looked, looming over us out of the snow :) Film, year, where, and whatever stuck with you.

“Guests shouldn't be asked to do this task.” I kinda hate Airbnb because they contributed greatly to the housing crisis. It wasn't supposed to be all year rentals, just when you're out of town anyway. We have a spare apartment in Croatia that we rent to tourists during summer months.

Airbnb is banning its hosts from making guests do things like “stripping the bed, taking trash offsite, or washing and putting away dishes.” The hosts....are not taking it well: www.wired.com/story/airbnb...

We refused to put it on the Airbnb. We use Booking dot com to rent and there are no requests that we can put for the guests. Most of them do wash their dishes and some of them even strip the linen. The property is in a tourist settlement so there is no impact on the housing.

Ramaswamy has produced an attack ad weaponizing the rape of his opponent, Amy Acton, when she was 12 years old. It features Acton’s mother, who abandoned Acton after she was raped by her step-father, fleeing the state with her husband. Here is the corporate money helping fund that ad.

The *entire point* of Freedom Summer was to dramatize and publicize the conditions in the Jim Crow South. It's why civil rights activists called their protests "demonstrations" -- they literally wanted to *demonstrate* the problems and force everyone confront the reality of racism.
