Disembodied voice in the Shoppers Drug Mart— owned by the Westons— tells me to consult their A.I. doctor for advice b4 seeing pharmacist. Valuing tech over humans and pushing a dangerous robotic nihilism. I’d suggest shopping elsewhere.

Can't wait to ride this!

In April 2022, the Progressive Conservative Government of Ontario under Premier Doug Ford announced that it would restore passenger rail service to northeastern Ontario with a new Northlander. Three Siemens trainsets have been purchased and service is set to begin in late 2026.

That worthless suburban conservative nepo-baby and his predecessors have destroyed everything from my Toronto childhood. Ontario Place Science Center Planetarium Not for some ridiculous business case, because there was none, but because they were public spaces for learning & discovery.

On this day in 1952, Canada's first television station, Radio-Canada's bilingual CFBT, went on the air in Montreal. Two days later, English language broadcasting began with CBLT in Toronto. On Nov. 1, Hockey Night in Canada premiered on television.

Ghost houses. The houses on Pape just north of the tracks have been expropriated by Metrolinx due to Ontario Line construction. They leave the lights on, so you can see into the abandoned houses at night. Still with bits of their former lives sometimes.

The idea that a book could be considered inapprop for kids because it's "too difficult" doesn't sit well with me. Let 'em try. If it's too hard, they'll put it down. But give them a chance to rise to the challenge.

This is a devastating blow to our local news media. My thoughts are with the many dedicated employees who worked so hard to make sure our community was well informed. A strong democracy requires the media to hold us to account.

I'd be a lot more receptive to these pipe dreams if they presented a long-range plan for how the infrastructure would be used when solar, wind and battery storage become so cheap that demand for oil dries up.

Awkwardly, Premier Danielle Smith turns to Premier Doug Ford and says "what were you calling yours?" referring to the Northern Shield Energy Corridor proposed pipeline from Alberta to Ontario. www.thestar.com/politics/pro...

The pipeline announcement begins with Carney acknowledging, without a hint of irony, the “biblical weather” in Ottawa yesterday. Extreme weather huh? Like the kind exacerbated by climate change? You don’t say! Hm!!!!

To whoever did this at the #NoKings in Boston: Thank you.❤️ It made me tear up. And we must to be reminded of needless damage to humanity that results directly from the careless, bellicose bluster coming from the Pentagon and White House.

This is brilliant.
