Worrying scenes in the Channel today, for all interested in asylum policy and maritime tactics. A small boat from Normandy spent more than 30 hours at sea. Those on board now on their 2nd rescue vessel as Border Force forced to play cat and mouse with far-right activists who have their own boat.

More Full Nelson tonight as the French drag a Spanish frigate along to the party to act as a meat shield. The Royal Navy give the Spaniards a duffing up but call the game too early and end up disgraced and in a court martial... #Spreadthelard #wargaming #navalwargaming

Pancreatic cancer is so tough. But in an early trial, 7 of 8 patients (87.5%) who responded to a personalized mRNA vaccine + immunotherapy are still alive 6 years after surgery. It's designed to train the immune system to fight remaining cells. Promising, and worth attention.

For once, wouldn’t it be glorious to see a slick, self-serving politician absolutely flattened by a lovable, chaotic town hero — someone who actually improves the place instead of treating it like a launchpad for their own ambitions?

My mother had Alzheimer's, and it lasted a decade. That wilderness she descended into was made far worse by a state that essentially said "good luck" and "goodbye" having to navigate care and selling her house and worrying that we'd run out of money to finance it all. If anyone can fix it, good.

Fake passports. A money laundering conviction. A mystery casino fortune in Montenegro... There's yet more revelations about who Farage chooses to surround himself with. Let’s start with George Cottrell. A man Farage describes as "like a son," and his former chief of staff 👇

It's rare to find a politician with the honour to sacrifice his career in defence of the right to work alongside Russian assets, sell himself to foreign crypto bros, and take millions in undelared gifts from a convicted fraudster who calls him "Daddy" and wrote a book called "How to launder money".

A few photos of my visit to the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History in Brussels, Belgium. Absolutely packed to the rafters with amazing kit, the Second World War gallery looked to be quite recent and was very good. Well worth a visit if you're ever that way. #history #museum

The good people of Brighton are taking no shit from far right fuckwits. Anti-racist protestors outnumbered the knuckle-draggers, blocked their march and told them to fuck off out of Brighton.

So that’s two of the “Raise the Colours” organisers now charged with violent crimes & a fifth of the 2024 race rioters with domestic abuse. Makes you wonder whether “innocent patriotism” & “protecting women & girls” are just covers for thuggish racism & misogyny?
