NEW: I spoke with current and former EA employees to understand how the latest layoff round played out and the realities of daily life at the U.S. publisher. The short version? EA is controlled by an executive class that "cannot fail, only be failed." Workers, then, will always pay the price.

Many of you know I maintain a list of 32 Democrats who have embraced anti-trans policy or run ads against us. I am not even asking my readers to abstain from all 32. Some have improved, and some may not meet your line. But I ask my readers to draw a line and refuse to elect the worst among them.

erininthemorning.comThe Guide To Anti-Trans Democrats In The 2026 Elections, By StateThese are the Democrats that LGBTQ+ people may wish to avoid this election cycle.

The elections are on next Tuesday, and so much is at stake, including the soul of the Democratic Party when it comes to transgender people. I am asking you to leave a very small number of races blank in which a Democrat has embraced extreme anti-trans hate. I make my case here.

erininthemorning.comDon’t Vote For The Worst Anti-Trans DemocratsThe Democratic Party should, and likely will, win big in the midterms. We must not send the worst anti-trans voices to join them.

The transphobic democrats have no vision, they have no spine, they have no sense of leadership and every one of them that wins this cycle brings the democrats closer to becoming Labour. If they go the way of Labour I’ll do everything in my power to make sure none of them are ever elected ever again.

Having thought about this, there is a whiff of desperation about it. As if though actually this tech sucks and they desperately are trying to find ways to sell it. Like yeah. The six fingers thing is probably deliberate to go viral. It’s… almost sad. Definitely pathetic.

This shit just writes itself at this point. Just the name "Epic AI MegaJam" is a joke that best describes what is going on with these companies.

I'm watching the Sharks game on a regional broadcast and boy there sure are a hell of a whole lot of "No on Prop 40" ads lol.

A hefty read, but it's nice to confirm my suspicions that democrats are being utterly devoured by really bad, expensive consultants that don't win them jack shit.

Jake Grumbach@jakemgrumbach.bsky.social

Just as a private equity firm buys out a corporation and strips it for parts, a consultant class is raiding the Democratic Party and getting “generationally wealthy” along the way New from me and @adambonica.bsky.social newrepublic.com/article/2163...

the inevitable end result, on a long enough timescale, is collapse. we’re already living through it. things break—or are broken—a little more each day until nothing works anymore

problem is, their actual job is making money for shareholders (or to pay off hilarious amounts of debt). this has always been the case, but now the mask is off. same with those embracing AI to churn out garbage. there’s no longer a greater aspiration than “money, fast,” nor systems to support it

Nayan Ramachandran@thetrin.blacksky.app

I feel obliged to once again reiterate that lay offs and closures are not a reaction to the economy, but a failure of leadership. Each wave of closures and layoffs should be looked upon as a consequence of greed and incompetence. If you can't keep your people employed, you are bad at your job.

He was down in the polls, saw this line of attack actively harms his campaign, and has decided to go down like a suicide bomber.

The Downballot@the-downballot.com

Vivek Ramaswamy has not only confirmed the commercial with Amy Acton's estranged mother was made by his campaign, Axios also reports he's now spending $4 million to air it.

Like he's gonna lose. He's gonna drag all the republicans on the ballot down. And Acton's got to live with his campaign having this ad. 2026 campaigning.

Genuinely hasn't been as despicable influential dem as Clyburn. Just an all around horrible elected official.

We’re back with our second story about how Trump’s purge of the FBI killed a sweeping bribery probe in D.C. This time, we take you to South Carolina, where two powerful politicians escaped scrutiny: Sen. Lindsey Graham and Rep. James Clyburn. THREAD 👇

Last I'll post about this, but Elon Musk disagrees with me. This means I am onto something, and I feel more valid in my opinion than ever.

I remember back in 2009 when O'Keefe put together a particularly shoddy set-up with ACORN organizing. The reaction was to disavow ACORN immediately and shut it down. Didn't matter that it was revealed to be entirely fake. ACORN shut down. They do it because the environment they're in lets it work.

Trevon Logan@trevondlogan.bsky.social

They are absolutely doubling down on a bold faced lie. They are betting the bank that people will believe what they say as opposed to the video evidence. Incredible. And incredibly insulting to all of us who can watch the video.

No accountability. No corrections. No undoing. No promises to be better. Just go onto the next thing. That's the environment which they are allowed to work.

I said that Musk has spent over $200 million on this election and my dad retorted with a 10 minute explainer (?) about how NASA has a dementia remedy that Musk worked very hard to uncover.

it’s worth underlining that the amount which a modern live game is not this is directly the result of devs fighting inch by inch, for months if not years, against the guy at every corporation who demands an explanation for why you aren’t doing this at all times

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

A good friend of mine and I went to BlizzCon one year and Metallica was the band they got to perform at the end. And as two previously massive Metallica fans growing up, we both walked away from that agreeing whatever Metallica we liked was long dead.

Brooks' job is to defend the status quo at any cost, which is keeping everyone in a hyper right-wing country that doesn't have the money to fund itself or its people but can declare war on the rest of the world whenever. That's why he rails against truth telling. Cause the truth is fugly.

This post is unavailable.

You start talking about the truth, then holy shit they might not want the status quo anymore. Brooks wants the status quo.

for as long as i've been alive, republicans have ran the same playbook: a few weeks before voting begins, they roll out completely fabricated smear campaigns. these things are always coordinated, so the talking points take over the news. the party is never electorally punished for their dishonesty.
