The Thin Red Line. Incidentally, also my answer to xkcd's "can a movie be so good, it's bad?". Every facet of the movie is genuine masterpiece material, but it's a miserable goddamn flick to watch. Also suffers from being the *other* big-budget, star-studded WWII blockbuster of 1998.

TV and not movie, but the best showbiz story of all time is production shutting down for the day because Mr Belvedere sat on his own balls and ‘pulverized them’.
We all know the "Viggo broke his toe" story but what's another movie fact you're personally compelled to bring up every time without prompting? For me, it's the fact that Robin Tunney is wearing a wig in The Craft because of having just shaved her head to save her job filming Empire Records.
"average American drinks 2 alcoholic drinks per week" factoid actualy just statistical error. Alcohol Georg, who lives in Milwaukee and drinks 90 beers each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

"Charlie Brown had hoes" used to pass as a peak controversial statement but in 2026 it doesn't even come close. Now you need to say something like "Charlie Brown would have condemned Burkina Faso" to get a rise out of people
1st grade, about age 7. One recess period, I began just walking around the beams bounding the playground reading field guides to North American fish, and was reprimanded for reading it.
QUESTION OF THE DAY: This sounds like a joke question, but it isn’t. If it doesn’t apply to you, fine. But it’s a serious question with different levels of meaning. And I am genuinely curious. When did you first realize you were weird?

Senate internals must be concerning for Flanagan if she's trotting out the endorsement of arguably the most reviled Democrat of the 21st century.
@hillaryclinton.bsky.social has spent five decades fighting for working families, dedicating her career to making the case that every child in this country deserves a fair shot. I’m honored to have Secretary Clinton’s support, and I’ll proudly carry on her fight in the US Senate.

Regular reminder that TN employs a 1-drug protocol, consisting of pentobarbitol only. Human formulations ceased production in 2020, and TN won't confirm their current source. Drug efficacy is dosgy because stockpiles are past their shelf life, or are grey-market compounded/veterinary formulations.
BREAKING: Tennessee death row inmate Christa Pike is receiving life-saving medical care after she survived two doses of lethal injection, according to her attorney, who adds that the execution attempt yesterday was 'was not just inefficient, it was cruel and it was torturous'.

Not that I trust Democrats to win any close elections at all, but GOP internals must be real lousy if Trump is putting his thumb on the scale for Republicans in *Iowa*, for a boondoggle that will never be built.
The mill is being built by Mesabi Metallics, a Minnesota company owned by India-based Essar Group. Mesabi has hired more than 200 workers so far, out of a planned 350 full-time employees at the mine near Nashwauk.
