Some people really need a hobby when they retire. I have a neighbor who uses his battery-powered leaf blower every single day for an at least an hour to bow off every single leaf. He even does during Northeaster's. The high-pitch droning noise pierces my skull and makes concentrating hard.

Also how much longer will the tyranny of TV-ready, camera-ready green lawns be the ideal? I'm like dude, you have four massive sycamore trees in your yard providing amazing shade - why are you so opposed to the leaves they shed. Also he has a lawn service that comes every week. Make it make sense.

He's the son of a former Bobby Jindal staffer whose consultant work was instrumental in getting Hawley elected.

Part of the answer to "how did we get here?" is that many major journalists—since 1998, Crawford has covered SCOTUS for PBS, ABC, and CBS—are lying bigots. Here Crawford is praising a guy who asked a dumb racist question, glitched out when asked why, then admitted he wanted a Christian theocracy.

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

I’ve known many other defense secretaries, starting with Cap Weinberger, who served as defense secretary under Reagan. I can say without fear of contradiction that Pete Hegseth is the stupidest and least qualified of them all. He is a danger to the entire world. He must be impeached.

Thom Mitchell reposted

Again, much of Pete Hegseth’s deal is the only skill his job demanded for a long time was keeping a trim figure to be conventionally pretty for stay-at-home moms watching daytime tv. His job was “be pretty,” but he knows that’s a girl job, so he’s deeply insecure and is trying to make it a boy job.

I’ve been saying for a while, someone needs to estimate the net cost of millions of people having to spend a chunk of every day worrying about what the insane president has done or will do.

Thom Mitchell reposted

I know we're all* numb to this by now, but it really needs to be said that any one of the batshit insane tyrant tweets from our special little boy would've led to swift efforts to remove any other previous president.

Jared Kushner is not "on the other side of the aisle." He's not an elected official. He's not an administration official. He's the president's son-in-law and a private citizen. You do not, in fact, have to take meetings with relatives of the president. Some might even say you should *not* do that

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Jeffries defends his meeting with Kushner: "I'm of the view that if we're going to be committed to actually solving problems on behalf of the American people ... they're are gonna be times that you have to speak with people on the other side of the aisle. Even people you strongly disagree with."

The constant, relentless bombardment by political campaigns is exhausting - I've been averaging 10+ calls a day and 10+ texts a day. Increasingly I just treat them like the spam that they are. Just because it is easy to call people, maybe you should think about whether you should. #Providence

This girl I used to waitress with in Austin, we moved to New York together in 2003 on a literal Greyhound bus. Shared a fifth floor walk-up studio that, when it rained, had more leaks in the ceiling than we had pots and pans. We used to get drunk and smoke off the fire escape and do “sad-offs.”
