I'm not sure why the good people of Maine have kept Susan Collins in the Senate for as long as they have. Perhaps, in 1997 when first elected, she was seen as a fresh, independent-minded moderate, but today she appears to be as tainted by the money as is her corrupted Party.

Jackson’s metaphor lands because Collins did vote to advance the bill before later voting against final passage. She deserves credit for winning the $50B rural-health fund—but that fund was designed partly to cushion Medicaid cuts she herself said threatened rural hospitals.

Every detail of modern day debates is litigated by campaign staff. I’m watching Sen. Collins while Troy Jackson is speaking and I do not see someone who looks healthy enough to merit another 6 year term in the US Senate. Why would Team Collins agree to have her on camera while she is not speaking?
