The silliest part of Godzilla, King of the Monsters! (1956) is the fact that they put Raymond Burr into a foreign movie via a ton of awkward insert shots in the middle of existing scenes, but the second silliest thing is the guy who dubs the Japanese scientist keeps pronouncing it “phemonemom.”
Just got all my boys together to take on the wandering ronin who came to town. There’s like 15 of us and only one of him so pretty much the only thing that would give me any pause is if he was master of the devastating and lightning-fast iaidō style. But that’s not likely. Finally getting around to watching the Backrooms and I'm 20 minutes in wondering, "When's Rose Byrne gonna show up?" So I look it up and Rose Byrne isn't even in the movie. The woman on the poster is just a Norwegian lady. 31 nights of fright, indeed.
Not the most pressing issue for the Sox, but it's always a good time to say fuck Reinsdorf. Just so he doesn't get lost in all the, "well, it was a huge step forward," post season postmortems.
I want to say this is very “Mary Worth” in its many-pannelled, domestic-slice-of-life vibe, but I don’t know enough about comics to make that call. Click through to check my work!
These people are all moral and ethical shitboxes, but I’m floored by the fact that it involves someone named “Raven Finegan”, truly the most “main character of a 14 year old’s Hunger Games fanfic” name I’ve come across in the wild in recent memory.
🧵Lauren Boebert had sex with three of her staffers. Two of them were women. Her sex partners were Clarisse Navarro, Jeffrey Small and Raven Finnegan. Navarro's husband Jace Ratzlaff: "I assumed this would eventually surface. I’ll have no further comment on this topic.”
"I'm not that person. I don't flip tortoises I find in the desert. I can promise you that. Of course I'd turn it back over. I'm engaging with you as a human being. Why would I leave it out there baking? There's no there's no reason for me to do that."

I’ve been trying to think what this was reminding me of, and while I don’t think it was actually T Bird getting popped in the Crow, obviously I gotta go with the Crow.
I was so busy dwelling on “you’ll receive the Order of Lenin for this” that I completely forgot about “HAS ANYBODY SEEN MY TAM-BOUR-IINNNE?”
Which also skips over him having a psychotic break and laughing maniacally as he emptied a Tommy gun in “The Shadow”
Guy was never ONCE too big for a role
I don’t know if it’s better to space out the deaths of beloved celebrities over the course of the year, like 2026, or to ram them all in right be for the new year, like 2016, but I gotta say I don’t care for either.
I keep wanting to say this White Sox pitching staff is unbelievably bad, but then I remember 2024 and I have to admit it's merely very very frustrating.
Name a cover better than the original
