Communication, are you listening.
Great to see economists realize that, they too, need Registered Reports. Funny how each field goes through the same movements, but sometimes a decade apart. If everyone would work more with medical researchers, we would collectively win a decade or 2 in these discussions.

Good talk. There's a lot of (over)thinking of this at the moment. Zenodo just works. (Until it doesn't when we and our bots ruin that as well.) Collaborate on GitHub and refer to zenodo.
Gave a talk in my dept. on the OSF transition. I wrote up a rough script of the session, which could be of interest to others. I synthesize existing resources and provide my own perspectives. Comments and corrections welcome! zenodo.org/records/2306...

A hammer does not guarantee successful nailing, successful nailing does not require a hammer, & the [generalizability] of the claim is in principle separate from which tool was used. The same is true of methods in the social and behavioral sciences. Shadish (1995, p. 421) Banger start to the paper!
New paper! Despite qualitative researchers claiming that generalizability is not a goal, their published work does indeed contain generalizable claims. We document this and provide recommendations for how all researchers can better calibrate their generalizability claims. doi.org/10.1177/2515...

We do not have to accept childhoods shaped by algorithms. We do not have to accept a system that fails our children. Europe has the power to act. To give children the time they need in the real world. I will detail our proposal in my upcoming State of the Union address.

So I did tell the editor where to shove it — politely of course
My manuscript on "GAMs in Animal Science" has been accepted in Animal — Open Space for almost a month & today editor emails to say they now want stylistic changes bc I used "I show" etc too much & they want an impersonal style. Really tempted to tell the editor where they can shove their request

That leadership has evolved: leaders were once expected to be extroverted and charismatic, but today there is growing space for more introverted personalities and different leadership styles. The key is to find your own way of leading ad remaining true to yourself is the most important aspect.
