For some reason all I’m seeing are people arguing that people should be free to promote their book launch and I really can’t tell if a single person complained about self promotion and everyone took offense or if it’s actually some kind of actual part of the Bluesky discourse.

Someone PLEASE send this to a Democratic consultant agency before we get another “people just want bipartisanship” message for 2026.

It's incredible what you can do when you just say words and don't believe they actually mean anything. I would wonder how these assholes sleep at night, but the simple answer is that they're sociopaths.

Yeah my job is pretty cool. My uniform is a tactical vest that’s two sizes too small and a gaiter I bought in a gas station. They send me to sneak into schools to kidnap little kids because people got mad about having to press 1 for English. The president had to warn everyone to stop spitting on me.

I'm skeptical of this pat narrative that Vought is the smart version of Musk. The main thing we know he's managed thus far is the dismantling of CFPB as its acting director, and in that task he has failed twice to fire anyone and had to rehire many as well www.bloomberg.com/features/202...

They absolutely DO NOT think they will ever be out of power again and are making plans to ensure it.

Chris Hayes@chrislhayes.bsky.social

I think what’s most striking about the last few months is how rarely anyone in the GOP applies this simple test. A lot of checks and balances rely on this kind of worrying about precedent but it’s now totally absent, as if they don’t think they’ll ever be out of power again.

Trump hates American democracy. He hates open societies. He’s jealous of Xi and Putin. He wants America to be like Russia and he’s doing everything he can to make it so.
