Interesting development. Still not super clear what this means for TS, like if they are going to adopt the port. But interesting purely because it's cloudflare doing it.

Same exact portfolio site. Same CSS, same logic, same looks, just two different frameworks. I keep them in parallel to understand the differences. @svelte.dev kit sure does knock the socks of Next.js ๐Ÿ˜….

Btw this is optimized on the React side (because it was necessary) to make sure there's only a single client component to enable the gsap animations. That component is a wrapper too. All other components are server components. SvelteKit didn't need that consideration at all.

The Popover API puts your UI on a separate top layer so you can stop fighting with focus management. Plus backdrop styling so short it fits here: [popover]::backdrop { background: rgb(52, 168, 83); backdrop-filter: blur(3px); } Build more with less code โ†’ goo.gle/3XvDUZk

Cursor 2.0 was a great inspiration to finally learn about git worktrees. Created my own custom tooling with it and loving the outcome! The great UI from Cursor helped explain how useful it could be even though I don't use cursor personally.

We recently rewrote the Intro to Storybook tutorial for Svelte, to use Svelte 5 and Svelte CSF everywhere! If there are any Svelte experts out there that want to take it for a spin and give feedback on the techniques used, that would be greatly appreciated! ๐Ÿ™ @sveltesociety.dev

Love when companies embrace open source. It's often what brings tech companies to the playing field in the first place, so it's awesome when they make it part of their business model to support it โค๏ธ

Vitest 4 runs simple test files faster! You can already check it out by installing Vitest 4 beta. On average, Vitest now takes 25% less time to start the test. Due to parallelisation, the overall time difference can vary. We are focusing our efforts on improving the time even more in the next beta!

You are up to date.
