BREAKING: A hacker is attempting to breach the US Federal Election Commission's systems and that agency has had to 'temporarily shut down' its web-facing services as a result, according to an email seen by Reuters reut.rs/4zY7fwQ

Essentially every corner of the Democratic Party except for mainstream liberals started smoking meth after Harris lost and believed the only way to win after this was to nominate and appeal to their fellow ideological tweakers. Liberals just kept doing the work though. And we're seeing the results.

It's funny because it came from all corners of the party - leftoids, Yglesias/Klein "popularists", he-man masculinists (Platner bros), the fading remnants of the Third Way - and Schumer and Jeffries just ignored them all and are now on the verge of a huge win.

NEW: DSA's National Political Committee passed two resolutions today aimed at Los Angeles mayoral candidate Nithya Raman, beginning processes that could result in DSA-LA being forced to rescind its endorsement of her this weekend and/or Raman herself being expelled from DSA by January.

eh go fuck yourself. "be neutral on [insert interest] when you run and then stick it to the industry when you win" is a time honored way of actually getting things done.

We were investigating Wedgewood for faking their data and emailed them for comment this morning, ahead of publishing the findings tomorrow. They are now trying to cover up their fraud with the "we were doing a social experiment" excuse. Full story here: blog.fiftyplusone.news/p/fiftypluso...

But yeah, illiterate, dooming text-based website, keep telling me these people have a super secret elaborate plan to steal elections and remain in power forever.

This article quotes a sociology professor, a lawyer, and an architect who reject the notion that housing prices are set by supply and demand and do not believe that building more homes reduces rents. It is the housing policy equivalent of platforming climate change deniers.

this is all happening bc Bankhead is being supported by republicans and refusing to drop out so she can split the anti-MAGA vote

Seeing more posts about Kelly Clarkson’s feud than the Feds raiding Ilhan Omar’s house is a sign that things are improving, imo. These guys are juiceless and we don’t need to hyperventilate about it. Let’s have some fun online.

Oh boy, excited for this website to do what it loves to do the most - complain about word choice from politicians

I mean I'm not thrilled about what's happening with Ilhan but if this is what the Trump administration can actually gin up to try and get revenge against people Trump doesn't like..

TIL that I work for Joe Manchin because I want the GOP ratfuck candidate to drop out of the Montana senate race so we can actually beat the republicans

Sam here, is obsessed with Alani Bankhead. He is the single most active account posting negative comments about her. At this point, I’m highly suspicious that he works for Joe Manchin, the Bodnar campaign & Tech Billionaire PACs trying to push out Dems in red states for hand selected “Independents”.

really pisses me off that if this weirdo just dropped out we would probably be favored to flip Montana

I try to be fairly open-minded but if you sincerely believe that a person who has chosen to spend months of 18-hour days running for electoral office doesn’t care if they win that office: you’re just dumb. Your brain don’t work. Your thoughts are bad.

Vituperative Erb@vituperativeerb.bsky.social

The idea that people who have chosen to devote their entire lives to partisan electoral politics are indifferent to electoral outcomes is just facially insane

She sucks. Would like to read/know more about this. The rap is that she was apparently in on the plan before double crossing everybody. Either way, she’s endorsing a Republican Senate by doing this. She can eat shit forever.

This is a ‘good strategy’ in game theory terms if you assume Trump will punish you for not rolling over and showing deference and democrats won’t. Democrats should think about altering those incentives.

Yes because normally what they would be saying is “we have enough money, don’t donate” so Dems must be in trouble! Great scoop lol

The DCCC is telling donors Democrats are getting badly outspent by the GOP on House races, and pleading for $17 million to avoid "leaving winnable races on the table." It identifies several. Full memo provided to NBC. www.nbcnews.com/politics/tru...

It is really remarkable that in a time of historic impasse in Congress, with both houses have been reduced to complete standstills despite a mounting number of political, economic, and ethical crises, both parties have spent months working to pass a bill limiting the pay of college athletes

Giving a small, well-organized minority of people a heckler's veto over new housing that follows democratically-enacted zoning laws is not "democracy."

Jane Natoli 🥑🚲🍍@wafoli.bsky.social

It is legitimately insulting that we live in a time where democracy ACTUALLY IS under attack, but a bunch of neighborhood busybodies who hate housing think not having enough meetings is an assault on democracy. Get a grip missionlocal.org/2026/09/rich...
