His claws tapped along the back of the fox's knuckles. "You look so tired." He didn't answer, keeping his eyes down toward his drink. His tail flicked idly. The cat grinned and leaned over, giving his ear a little nuzzle. "Keep moping like that and I'll have to do something about it."

He was one whose power was akin to, and as strong as, the Old Powers of the earth; one who talked with dragons, and held off earthquakes with his word. And there he lay asleep on the dirt, with a little thistle growing by his hand.

Prizker was constantly buying coffee/pizzas for the volunteers getting the signatures for this one, so my mom is now ride-or-die for him

AZ already fixed the abortion issue via constitutional amendment in 2024!

It's insane that the campaign against El-Sayed is basically that he has some secret relationship with the people that the president's family has a secret relationship with.

I dunno if it's just me but Tank Valeera feels like she does waaay more damage with my druid (as healer) than on my priest (also healer). Dunno if it's just like, the 3% vers really makes that big a difference or something else going on, it's not gear cuz the druid is like 15 ilvls lower.

I was just thinking these same lines w/ Lula. Especially after France did something similar in '22. Feels like it would've changed how 2016 played out in the US. Unclear if it would've produced a different outcome in 2020 or 2024.

Brazil’s results tonight are a big endorsement for the idea that every country should have a second “are you you sure about that” election a couple weeks after the first one for the important stuff

Thank fuck my priest finally got a Hero Hand to drop. Took 5 delves, 2 coins, and then using a tormented soul for a nightmare prey hunt but he's -done- and has 6/6 hero gear for the myth crest convesions and the transmog. just. gah x_x what luck.

So I've now finished gearing/getting tier transmog for my Mage and Priest, Shaman will complete tomorrow when I get another catalyst charge then I can work on my other alts, who have the benefit of coins and crest discounts

It turns out punishing coup plotters actually is an effective deterrent!

"I don't feel I'm good enough for you so I won't give you the thing you actively seek from me because I think you can get it better from the imaginary people in my head I think are also in your life" is a complicated thought and yet one multiple people in my life have had & it's -beyond- frustrating

If I choose to engage with you, I think it's very insulting to make the assumption that I am somehow lowering myself and my standards to do so as if I'm only doing it out of charity or pity.

Like first off, how dare you insult my friend (yourself) How dare you choose what -my- standards are and how I should spend my time Please do not make assumptions about who else is in my life and what I get from them because -you will be wrong-

This article does not discuss one major reason why chocolate in the West got worse - Ghana and Ivory Coast, the two African countries that are the biggest suppliers of cacao globally, got organised and started demanding fair prices for it. www.reuters.com/world/africa...

The trick here is that farmers aren't regular voters. Most farmers are professionals like her who know on which side their bread is buttered. They're wealthy landowners with perpetual cash flow issues. Even if Trump threatens the latter, Dems threaten the former, & the former is their identity.

The “something” in question was the workers themselves deciding by 1966 that they no longer wanted New Dealer welfare capitalism if it meant black Americans would benefit from it while anti-war protesters were free to burn the flag

Waldo@waldo42.bsky.social

Something happened in the 70's that crystallized politics (and many other topics) into a new set of assumptions and priors. It gave rise to Reaganism and completely crushed New Deal Socialism; Dems that eventually reemerged were and still are centrists scared of their own shadows.

I think you can make the case that Eileen Canon is single-handedly responsible for Trump staying out of Federal prison in the docs case.

I Nied braaaaiiiiins 🧟@nied.bsky.social

That plus Eileen Canon's repeated fuckery are more responsible for Trump staying out of prison than anything Garland did.

Nobody knows where the electorate really stands but it's clear that Republican turnout is the only big question left. Sending prominent conservatives to stump in heavily Republican areas probably offers the best bang for the buck they can get at this point

They're sending the VP to campaign in *Montana*??
