The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot
A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead:

and when I see people repeating the delusion that art (ESPECIALLY furry art) isnโt inherently entangled in politics, THIS IS PART OF THAT.
if youre just here to get your rocks off then
TOUGH SHIT
โpoliticsโ is going to happen TO YOU if you donโt lock in and realize how serious this shit is!!!!!
Roleplaying incest scenarios in porn will be criminalized in the UK as of next month, 2 years in prison for possession and 5 years for publishing
I donโt know what to say that I havenโt said, this is bleak as fuck
Any UK ABDL furries should also be extremely weary as this law targets you too

Turn on the Surveillance Layer in Map Options to see known license plate readers from Flock Safety, Motorola Solutions (Vigilant), Genetec, Axis Communications, Axon, Leonardo (ELSAG), Neology, Rekor, PlateSmart, Ubicquia, Verkada, and other outdoor surveillance cameras.
The difficulty of using mass transit in most of America is not the lack of mass transit, but that we already have the wrong mass transit. Metro rail and subways were built to shuffle worker drones to the offices, not to take you to college then to see your doctor for a check up.
Combined with the fact that outside of a few blocks in the densest of downtowns the density of shops, services, and entertainment are too low to allow people to walk, and most existing bus routes lack the punctuality, frequency, and quality to encourage use by anyone with a choice.
Trans people get called extremists for saying โhey donโt watch a wizard tv show.โ Meanwhile people out here literally calling for legislative bans on our existence are propped up as feminist icons. Really just shows how those who make people uncomfortable or disrupt consumption are vilified.
So while I despise the "just one more lane" mindset as much as anyone who takes an interest in transit. The reality is that induced demand represents induced growth, and for some situations is the right solution. But mass transit should be used wherever it makes sense, and use encouraged.
One major problem with ai that I barely see any discussion about is that it's disposition or even "persona" is controlled by prompts. Usually by the host via system prompts and normally contains some form of "don't be evil".
However as ai is probabilistic there's always a chance it ignores that, or can potentially be overridden by user prompts.
We're not ready for an amoral entity with orders of magnitude more data than any human could achieve that is only being stopped by a prompt.
I'll only believe it when the vote is certified for all of this. Polls are becoming increasingly unreliable due to the inevitable observation bias effects of polling, especially with a candidate that is polarizing, combined with sample set bias from who actually responds to surveys.

Today's song pick. It sucks that Spacey is an awful person, but this song is still very beautiful, and the movie itself was very profound youtu.be/-WyOAqaTcOA
Just in time for the 2026-2027 vaccines, a new review shows that COVID19 vaccination significantly reduces the risk of severe illness and hospitalization across all age groups, including kids.
Pregnant women were also protected, as were their babies.
Donโt forget to schedule your vaccination!
Among the litany of problems with the stupid ai race is just how much of a waste all the money that's being poured into data centers will be. These centers will not be useful for anything else after the bubble pops. Those servers are not suitable for regular web hosting.
Fusion is often called a similarly foolish endeavor, but if we were pumping the same sort of money into it we'd be able to revolutionize superconductor and other exotic material manufacturing instead of an ever so slightly more accurate digital parrot.
This is such a wholly unacceptable attitude. Hire the expertise you need. Stop making excuses. @mtcbata.bsky.social
In an area full of software PMs and engineers, did MTC look for help? Everything they've said indicates they consigned themselves to helplessness.
A BART station agent called the botched Clipper 2.0 rollout, "the worst systemwide morale killer amongst agents since I started working here.โ

in light of the revelations of minneapolis spying and repression, people should brush up on anti-repression / anti-incrimination tactics! STFU (and ask for your attorney) is a good start!
Have a great weekend!
The main reason Georgia is having so many officers getting caught misusing Flock is because they have stronger policies in place and a stronger audit tool.
Most places don't, and you KNOW that those cops are not being held accountable.
Below from your link. Apparently illegal use of Flock (etc.) surveillance cameras is irresistible to police (and other) stalkers with access. Itโs endemic and has to stop. Itโs a dream tool for perpetrators of domestic violence, and people are going to be injured and murdered.
I would like to see more companies admit this - being a public company no longer means running a successful, thriving business. It strictly means delivering growth to investors, every single quarter, who do not care at all about the product the company sells or the people who produce it.
One of my fav games of 2025 is also on sale, Promise Mascot Agency! Drive around in a cure little kei truck and manage a mascot agency in a world where mascots aren't people in costumes, but weird living creatures! And yes, that's Kiryu's voice actor as the protagonist! It's an absolute gem.
My only complaint with denshattack is that most of the trains including the one you start with look like kissha ๆฑฝ่ป, or diesel trains, instead of the titular densha ้ป่ป, or electric train. There's also no third rail or pantograph (but there's not even track in many points lol)
NDA, and settlements that prevent disclosure are constantly abused by those with power and should only be permissible in special circumstances. For example Tesla has massive numbers of defects and safety issues that nobody hears about because often repairs will be dependent upon agreement to an NDA.
Dealing with some sudden health issues since yesterday (nothing serious), so not really up to actually doing anything for the 4th, nor do I feel patriotic about our current state, but at the same time kind of irrationally sad that we didn't have anything.

The move to block the Archive from preserving the news makes zero sense. These news outlets are blocking the Wayback Machine even as they rely on it for crucial reportingโฆ Not to mention we need fact-checking more than ever in the age of AI. www.wired.com/story/the-in...
I will say that while I never directly went looking for stuff about circus while ep 9 was only in theaters, and I didn't frequently watch videos about it, I was actually pleasantly surprised that I at least didn't see any spoilers, or even people trying to talk around spoilers.
