Can it be any lower effort? Didn't even care to actually create an interesting cryptid or lore. Eugh. Take from people & Give Nothing Back, seems to be the motto.

unless you are doing something actually useful with the money Hasbro, no one gives a damn. Lemme guess, you are gonna use Jimothy as a guise for more layoffs I bet?

Me waiting for the Multibilliondollar Corp™️ to release digital versions of the non-English books so I don't have to waste my time manually transcribing text from the physical books. Or at least make their platform multilingual. But no! this one only cares about microtransactions and memes.

Fifth edition was in 2014. If you’re referring to 5.5, that rule said it still virtually the same as five. Since then there have basically been two major content books, and a handful of material scattered around. It’s been barren unless you’re running prefab adventures.

Meanwhile, Pathfinders characters are almost drowning in choices and ways to build your character. They have put out more content books in the last two years than Hasbro has in the last 12.

Maybe, though it feels like the ‘brand showing up with the pineapple hat’ meme. If this was genuinely someone making a little whimsy, that makes me more upset, because it means there’s probably been a lot of other good ideas they’ve had that hasbro simply won’t publish.

Regardless of why, this did not take long to make and was probably pretty fun for whichever designer did it. It's not that deep. It's not stopping you from getting more subclasses or whatever. Also, I conveniently posted this earlier bsky.app/profile/mont...

Guys like, I get it. Brands trying to co-opt memes ruins them and all but like This is fine. This is the least offensive thing Wizards has done in a while. It's just a fun little thing you can put in your DnD campaign. A designer at WotC had a really fun work day making this, and that's all.

Is he unaligned though? Is he? That's the future Lord of Limbo with a 4 star comedy-themed restaurant in Gehenna (you can the greyest flavoured vanilla ice cream with pickles flavoured grey there).

Part of the reason things like Jimothy, Pizza Rat, or even Fleem become popular is because PEOPLE get enthusiastic about them in their own and bond over that joy organically. And in a world of brands shoving optimized IPs down our throats, that’s increasingly rare. Guess what happens now, brand?
