It’s very simple and it’s been said over and over but I guess it needs saying continuously: if you deem one group too small to have equal rights you are enabling fascism, not fighting it. The people saying Dems are GREAT on trans rights are not paying attention and/or saying stuff like this.

i don't mind people using agents to create PRs, but please at least write the description and replies yourself 🙏

I can't play an instrument, so I figured out music theory in JavaScript instead. I now understand why there are 12 notes and why notes in the same key sound good 🎶 I've written up my findings with code examples you can run and hear.

Looking for help to update my desk organization. Does anyone have recommendations on desk organizer things? Laptop stands, pencil holders, you name it, I'm interested. Please share!

Public Service Announcement - these pill bottle timers are fantastic if you're the type of person who takes pills and then forgets if you've taken said pill.

I have so much trouble going through courses that contain a lot of stuff I already know. I never know what parts are safe for me to skip. Reading through things I already understand provides zero dopamine and makes me check out. I wish I could filter for the unknown!

What do a port of Kubernetes to TypeScript and a high-priority bug in the kubelet have in common? They both feature in @samwho.dev's guide to probing, out now. We're experimenting with what next-generation k8s education looks like, and we hope you love it.

I had optimized my website for developer relations stuff, but now I've left that world and get to redesign it however I want. Time to do a bit of rebranding, I suppose.

I miss writing and I miss making fun little websites and CodePens. Starting again with zero momentum is always toughest. Not sure what to write about, not sure what to make.

After 5.5 years, today's my last day at Prismic. I want to thank everyone at Prismic, my team especially, for being so wonderful and supportive. I'll miss you all! As for what's next, I'm not taking another DevRel role. Moving on to something much less public.

I don't know what that means for future Frontend Horse activity. I might be inspired to write a bit here and there, who knows. I'm prioritizing living a more local life with more offline friends and hobbies. Trying to keep my internet usage healthy, if that's actually possible.

We’re not sad because we ‘realized that knowledge work is mostly pointless [because AI can do it]’ We’re sad because everywhere we look people are fine, enthusiastic even, with garbage in nearly every aspect of their life. www.noemamag.com/why-is-every...

noemamag.comWhy Is Everyone In Tech So Sad? | NOEMAA lot of people seem to be realizing that knowledge work is mostly pointless. AI might give us the pleasure of finding out what happens if an entire class of workers loses faith in their careers.

These won't start hitting YouTube until next week, but figured I'd give an early release for people following this account, since they've been answering the questions that have helped make this happen 🙂 My very first guest was @nerdy.dev

I don't know if I'm in a weird bubble of AI these days, but it's such a breath of fresh air stumbling(!) across words written by humans online.

About a year ago, I started to work with @nuevotokyo.bsky.social on what would become VWFNDR™ + MBL: a camera app for Android (soon iOS) made with @nuxt.com and Capacitor. We released it to the public in May. Today, two months later, we just crossed 100K downloads and 1M photos taken. Thanks 🖤🟥

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

More and more people I deeply respect and have learned a lot from over the years feel like they are speaking into a void, to the point where they are losing motivation to continue making content, which got me to write my first post on my site in over a year... www.kevinpowell.co/article/tell...

It's not fun to make tech content as much anymore, too. I'm doing some because I actually like it, but it feels like I'm shouting into a slop-driven void nearly everywhere. It's really tiring. I get so much joy reading individual blogs and newsletters still (like yours!), at least.

If you have a developer education budget at work, I would really encourage you to use it on your favourite developer educators. A lot of us are deciding whether or not to keep doing this stuff, and that support would help send a signal that we should keep going. ❤️

Someday soon I'll likely tell someone that I'm a pretty big fan of InfoWars. Didn't have that on my bingo card.

I personally almost immediately click away. I rarely—if ever—read through the post. And I do take note of the author, unsubscribe from their RSS feeds, and stop reading their content. This may sound drastic but if the author is using AI to write their posts they're likely to continue doing it.
