If I see spoilers for Fortune's Weave from you I will curse you, your bloodline, every person who has called you friend, and every animal within 100 yards of you with Teeths Fall Out Disease. Enjoy being unable to eat solids for the rest of your life.

undisclosed GenAI usage, but the team does in fact let it slip on their discord server where they think they'll receive little pushback or hold themselves accountable

I do not claim to be a professional video game advertiser but I think you should never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever describe your video game like this in the first 10 seconds of your trailer

One thing I appreciate about Metal Gear Solid is that you talk to a war profiteer for like 10 minutes, learn he sucks almost immediately, and then he suddenly dies.

If things were right with the world, Tank Chair would have a 6/10 Beat 'Em Up with interesting ideas born from the main character being in a wheelchair

I want to add that at a time when Western video game critics were praising WRPGs for their level of freedom, Akito Inoue rightly points Oblivion as a mix of Shenmue and Gunparade March. In other words, JRPGs as cohering around a singular designโ€”in this case, linearityโ€”was always a myth.

I once saw RS3 described as "JRPG Skyrim" which ...... while shallow and oversimplified ... isn't exactly incorrect. Anyways, RS3 is one of the best games in the series, the remake of RS2 was excellent, so I'm super excited for this. I wonder if it's feasible to build a full team of monks again.

Some Lula supporters apparently shouted his name out their window when it was announced he won and a cop pointed his gun at him and they took what is possibly the greatest image of a cop ever taken, like genuinely this would go hard as a cover for a Rage album its so poetic.

Videogames is the creative field where creatives are least recognised, most of the time their names are hidden away on the finished product. This is obviously deliberate on the industry's part but the audience enables it when they fail to care about the people who make this stuff.

sorry i need to publicly be a hater for a second but what do you mean the giant 230k+ signature save mass effect petition is only about the IP and not the devs that were laid off

A wrong lesson to take from the Brazilian elections is that voting can defeat fascism. That's not true at all. Democracy is an incredibly frail system and the US almost took over the country through it. ORGANIZED PEOPLE DEFEATED FASCISM

It's another day, so let's talk about this. First of all, Lula didn't win the election alone. He won because more than half of the country FREAKED THE FUCK OUT and built a popular movement that organized several actions both irl and online.

one of the greatest examples of journalism in the UK for the last 30 years was Brian Deers work exposing Wakefield's abuse of autistic children re vaccines. and it wouldn't exist if he were just a "neutral observer doing objective journalism". No. He gave a shit about the kids! that's all it took!

it's actually cool and okay to care about the things you're investigating and reporting on. It actually makes your work better to be personally invested rather than just going through the motions to collect a pay check. every single piece of journalism considered incredible followed the above.
