I get your data from point A to point B. "We got the rabbi!" "My name is Anastasia Beaverhausen." “My name is Coyote, Wile E Coyote, and I am a genius.”

"They say they're coming to save us from some evil? They're talking about our neighbors who take care of us ... Alex was murdered while he was helping. Mr Rogers said look for the helpers, & right now the helpers have a target on our forehead ... Mr Rogers would be here right now too, so I'm here."

An intriguing (and translatable) experience I recently had involving the new Wicked: For Good movie 🍿👇 We were almost through the trailers. A family came in last-minute but couldn't find four seats together -- there were only two pairs of seats apart from each other, meaning they'd be split up.

I think this happens a lot in work and life -- it's so easy to not see solutions while you're in the middle of a problem. Not because you're not smart or incapable, it's simply human nature to sometimes not see things, particularly if something is happening to you in that moment.

At that point the movie was starting, the theatre was now dark, and they were split up into their different seats. Sporadically throughout the movie they would take turns bringing the popcorn to each other.

The father had the popcorn bag (one for the entire family), and the mother realized she and the daughter wouldn't have the popcorn with them. I realized what they could do was get an empty popcorn bag from concessions and then split the popcorn between the two of them with their second bag.

Just watched The Sounds of Music. Can you believe, 1) She starred in Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music in back-to-back consecutive years ('64, '65). 2) Just read about the loss of her voice. Oy, what heartbreak.

Yesterday at the farmer’s market I saw a vendor quietly give food to someone whose EBT (SNAP) card didn’t have enough money on it. People helping people because the president and his administration refuse to. Even when court-ordered.

There is not one face of the Democratic Party. Tonight proved there are many faces, but each with a commitment to fight back against the reckless failure of the Trump regime and actually serve people. Thank goodness.

We're all going to write pieces about what you can learn from tonight but it's actually pretty simple: The frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

This weekend I read 200 pages of the first book of the Wicked series, plus noted down new vocab words. It's amazing how much reading you can get done in even a few undistracted hours.

This alone is disqualifying. If this schmuck is gonna LEAVE THE CITY if he loses, he doesn't love the city enough to deserve to win.

This time last week I was sitting front row, dead center box seat at the MET Opera House. I'm not a spontaneous person and this was an impromptu trip for me. Lesson: It is very important that you do things during your time here on Earth. Be responsible but yes, go do the thing.

One danger of 47 is that it's very , very important for service members to be able to confidently take orders from their Commander-in-chief. 47 makes this impossible to do so.

Boat strikes put US service members in legal jeopardy: "Some junior officers have asked military lawyers, known as judge advocates general or JAGs, for written sign-off before taking part in strikes .... It does not appear that such memos were furnished, said one of the people."

The amount is meaningless — less than one day of salary. But the principle is important: once the armed services are paid by the oligarchs, they become a private militia, and we no longer have a country. www.nytimes.com/live/2025/10...

Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

You rarely know about the group chats and meetings you’re never invited to. The same is for national security which is highly dependent on global alliances. All bills become due eventually. We will have to pay dearly for this administration.

I do wonder when media outlets will get interested in ballooning everyday costs. My family's grocery bill has exploded over the past six months and - unlike when a Democrat is president - this is a non-story.

This is where we are. Say it plain. He's trying to become a dictator. Turning the military against Americans who oppose him is a pretty sure sign, folks.

I hope it's clear to everyone now that Trump really is going for it - he's trying to become a dictator. I don't know if he'll succeed, but he's working to install himself as an autocrat unaccountable to voters. And he's weaponizing the military against Americans who oppose him as part of that effort

Highly recommend Your Neighbors & Friends on Apple TV+. Great show. Relatable, likable characters. Coop, in his own funny way, is such a strong character. The sister is great. Wonderful Aunt and family member to the kids.

Funnily enough, I really liked the pinning function. Sort of a unique quirk that makes the platform standout.

I have a new religious belief: At the end of your life, you're led into a room thinking you're going to have to answer to God. God comes in and says, "Actually you're going to answer to somebody else." And the person who walks in is yourself. Live life so you're not ashamed to answer to yourself.

Again, you show up here in your military uniform, and your service--the entirety of it--is tanrished and worthless, and you are dishonorable--expect to receive a commensurate welcome. You always have an obligation to not do the wrong thing, no matter who orders you to do it.
