Hi BlueSky friends (new and old)... We're a grassroots campaign calling on the Britain's biggest landowners to rewild their land! We'd love to connect with everyone who believes in a fairer, wilder Britain. Make it wild & make it ours!

You can't clean up plastic once it's in the ocean You can't suck up fossil carbon once it's in the atmosphere You can't (quickly) regrow a forest once you've destroyed it Destruction needs to be addressed at source. It makes no sense to just damage everything and try to fix it afterwards

therevelator.orgWhy The Ocean Cleanup Hasn’t Solved the Plastic Pollution Crisis • The RevelatorGlobal problems are rarely solved by one person or invention. The Ocean Cleanup didn’t work, for the reasons experts said it wouldn’t. What can we learn from this?

11 bat species, cuckoos, badgers and rare beetles. The developer’s ecologists said the land qualifies as a Local Wildlife Site, whilst the council’s ecologist warned of “significant” harm from development. Buckinghamshire Council approved an AI data centre on it anyway.

We cannot drill our way to a wilder future! This UK made a commitment to nature on land & sea. This about more than beaver reintroductions. Healthy seas, thriving ecosystems & a liveable climate are all part of the same fight. We need to restore nature, not fuel its destruction. #jackdaw

23,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 joules. That’s the amount of heat the oceans absorbed in 2025. A number so huge it’s almost meaningless…until you realise it’s roughly 40× humanity’s annual energy use. The ocean is buying us time. We’re running out of it. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

8/ The climate and nature movements need to get on the front foot again in the wake of the wildfires, to say loud and clear: - You don't fight fire with fire, you fight it with water. - We need to re-wet peat bogs, let beavers create new wetlands, plant more trees for shade & restore nature

To increase grouse populations, the plant life of these upland habitats, in particular heather, is routinely burned to encourage new growth that feeds grouse. Grouse shooters have also been known to illegally kill birds of prey such as White-tailed Eagles to reduce the threat of predators.

Grouse shooting is a sport which kills approximately 500,000 grouse every year. Grouse, unlike pheasants, are wild birds native to the UK’s uplands such as the Yorkshire Dales and the Cairngorms.
